This drone is controlled via the periscope on the mothership. Information on the Submersible Research Vessel (RSV)/Outpost Establishment Vessel (OEV) Calipso is currently being classified. Little is known about the origin of the project other than it's name - Calypso - a moon of saturn, named for a sea nymph from greek mythology whose name means 'I hide'. The project is rumored to date to Europan colonization. Design Objective: The submarine includes plenty of quality of life features but is designed with intentional flaws/handicaps to remain a challenging but fun experience for crews; includes a swappable navigation terminals, a stealth mode, and away shuttle (with remote and local control, so whoever stays on the sub can still play a semi-active part on the away team). Notable Features: - Fully swappable shuttle and main sub nav terminals (click on the button with the ships wheel/drone to toggle) - Can use the drone control room to control the main sub with better visibility or the deeper/central battle bridge for safety - Remote controlled drone/shuttle with local control overrides for major functions. - NOTE: the shuttle does not have it's own O2 generator; away team must make use of O2 recharge stations - Remote control of the shuttle gun which can be overriden for local control. Click the fire button while in periscope mode to toggle to the periscope currently under use (on shuttle or in the currently active shuttle control room in the parent submarine). - Automatic Reactor Control (ARC) circuit with toggleable eco mode toggle and auto-shutoff when docked to station.
