Destruction effects, sounds for EVERY breakable build. Have you ever thought that damn, destruction in gmod is AWESOME! What if it could be better? What if you could, really.. HEAR... A bridge strain under it's own weight? FEEL The destruction of a massive tower... SEE For yourself...? I hope you can understand now, how the best part of destruction was always, The TENSION in the air. But how does it work? Tension reads every constraint created, then does two things with them. - First it checks a couple times a second, how much strain every constraint is under. Then it plays sounds that can range from subtle, quiet bending sounds, to DRAMATIC, bombastic audio, which can be best achieved with "Weight" editing tools! - Second, tension plays sounds, and a bit more, whenever constraints SNAP! This can happen when a constrained prop breaks, or when a constraint's force limit is exceeded! If this happens on large, heavy props ( bridge/building chunks ) tension will.. Spawn dust when these objects land, play WOOSHING sounds if they fall far, fast enough, and create mapwide echoes after they land. - That's pretty much it! The addon DOES NOT modify the game's physics at all, it only reacts to what's happening. And TENSION is built with optimization in mind, it won't significantly affect performance. TENSION Works great with... gm_calamitycoast_hl2 ( bridge map, with constraints ) phys_town_v2_fix ( another constrained bridge ) OptiWeld ( build welding tool that isn't total trash like smartweld, do NOT use smartweld ) Improved Weight ( best prop weight editing tool ) Destructible Props Replacement Commands! tension_sv_enabled ( enable/disable the addon LIVE! ) tension_sv_screenshake_enabled ( enable/disable the annoying(?) screenshake ) tension_sv_autofreeze ( freezes the rubble of destroyed builds if the game's lagging ) tension_sv_adminsonly ( makes addon only work on admin owned props ) tension_cl_enabled ( disables entire addon, clientside ) tension_cl_screenshake_enabled tension_cl_volumemul ( ACTUAL VOLUME OPTION!!! ) Github
