Quidds Better Butterflies Mod Hallo! This mod is pretty self-explanatory, it adds a variety of butterflies and moths to the game, which can be caught with a bug net and used as bait for fishing. Some of these butterflies are inspired by real-life species, while others are purely fictional. Enjoy! This is designed to be very vanilla-friendly, so no new mechanics or complex systems are added. Just catch butterflies! This mod is still in very early development, so expect more content and features in the future! Latest features (feb 18th, 2026): - Added 6 more moths! - Tried to make a few CUSTOM sprites for the moths (very noticable), I'll try respecting each moth with a unique (life-like) sprite (but it's hard ;-;). - Added a few more butterflies, of course. - Added special spawning for some butterflies and moths (try dying or waiting around a meteor/peace candle!). - Fixed a bug where the butterflies would spawn en masse while under the effects of a battle potion (thank you sobgoth!). They now no longer spawn during the duration of a battle potion, and have a max spawn of 3 total of its type at a time. Current features: - 35 different butterflies and moths to catch! - Custom sprites for moths, and some butterflies (currently in progress). - Butterflies and moths are found all over the world, and under special conditions. - Some foundation for specific wing variants (currently in progress). - Some foundation for future pet butterflies (currently in progress). - Not really a feature but everything's available for use/editing if you extract!
