Auto Select Ignore Range Developed with AI assistance (Cursor), curated and playtested manually. Vanilla Auto Select (Left Shift) only picks a tool when the hovered tile is inside that tool's reach. Point at a block farther away and it grabs a torch or glowstick instead. This client-only QoL mod removes that reach gate for tool choice. Hover a mineable block, tree, altar, and so on — Auto Select equips the matching tool even if you cannot dig it yet. Actual dig/place range is unchanged. What it does - Out-of-reach hovered tiles still select pickaxe / axe / hammer (and the other vanilla Auto Select tool strategies) when you have the matching tool. - Empty air keeps vanilla light-source fallback (torch nearby; glowstick / flare when far). - No config — enable the mod and it is always on. What it does not do - Does not extend real tool reach. - Does not change Smart Cursor. - Does not make Auto Select pull a hammer for walls (vanilla still does not). Side Client-only.
