Custom menu to bring back the feel of L4D1's main menu. Updates - This has now been updated to include the Versus Survival mode. - The Singleplayer menu has been moved into the Campaign menu as per the update. - I have removed the "Play" in each mode for a cleaner look. - The "Steam Group Servers" button has been removed as it can be accessed in the "Campaign" menu. - Friends menu has been added back after feedback. - A few menus, including the Add-on menu, have been updated to be more user-friendly. - Mutation menu updated to match the reset of them. - Main menu add-on spinner has been restored. - Fixed an issue with the order of campaigns being incorrect in the mission list. - Included a missing texture image for add-ons without images (for my own sanity). - Updated the ugly "Add-on Campaign" icon. This menu does NOT include any fonts, sounds, or other custom features, this makes it suitable to use with other preferred mods. I would recommend using Urik's L4D1 font mod and PostalDudeRus's L4D1 UI sounds. To get the original Xbox 360 background like in the screenshots, you'll need to install L4D1's Xbox 360 Main Menu Background. If you would like a version without the logo, you can find that here. Crashing Fix Some users have reported it crashing upon installation. Restarting the game will prevent this from happening. If the crashing still persists, copy the .vpk file from "Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop" and place it in "Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons", and then unsubscribe.

Heyo! this was a little more involved than i initially expected, there will be performance improvements but for a few of these textures i did have to keep the original resolution but CRUSHED. originally all the textures at around 64px was like 16mb but there had to be some concessions made because of blendtextures and some overlays and what not. THIS IS JUST THE MAP TEXTURES, not models, i figured why crunch the model textures if im going to remake the models eventually anyway.

Left 4 Dead Modified: Crash Course

Make your way through the alleys and to the truck depot. The second instalment of the Left 4 Dead Modified series, This is the original old fashioned non-versus Crash Course campaign from the first game, with L4D2 weapon/item/upgrade spawns, a few new features and miscellaneous improvements. Bear in mind that this altered version may be more challenging to the average player and is not a replacement for Crash Course featured within the game by default, but is a custom campaign you must select through the 'AddOn campaign...' menu. Key features: • Original map layouts (buildings and paths) • Fixed the searchlight for the truck depot on both maps • Original river water textures • The Last Stand update L4D population • Buffed Miniguns - they are now more accurate and deal a lot of damage, especially to Tanks! They are also somewhat more powerful in L4D1 • New L4D1 themed hint system for panic events and rescue activation • Original L4D1 models (with HD textures) • Improved lighting • Enabled wind on all exterior cables such as phone poles (they're originally static) • Timed hordes will always spawn ahead rather than behind • More tweaks and tid-bits I can't remember NEW with 2022 update: • The finale now uses a 2 step setup rather than just starting the generator. After starting the generator, use the lever on the lift to begin the escape • There is now a 1 in 3 chance that the generator on the finale could break again after restarting it (it will only break 2 times) • L4D1 Common Infected sounds (will be added to my other campaigns soon) • L4D1 Horde howl when activating panic events (will be added to my other campaigns soon) • L4D1 Special Infected sounds, with some unused tracks added (will be added to my other campaigns soon) • Tank music now randomly chooses between the regular and metal version • Car alarms now use their own script, they are more dangerous. They can be activated from any distance and increase the common limit to 75 during the horde. Try to avoid them! • Removed the cooldown for performing shoves, the penalty did not exist in L4D1 NEW with Oct 2023 update: • New holdout areas in the truck depot - a blue warehouse, a small maintenance room, some containers • More Versus support • Custom level end tracks See 'Change Notes' for more info I do not recommend playing this campaign on a 'Best Available Dedicated' server as some can be heavily modded and greatly interfere with gameplay.
