Now close your game, and try to install the addon again. 3)CANT INSTALL ADDON, ERROR: INSTALLED AND IN USE EXPLANATION: BUG, probably old files left in the addon folder and causing troubles. EXPLANATION: I know it can be confusing, but my attempt was to make it the easiest i could. SOLUTION: Launch your game, you will now see l4d2 default gamemodes in one single icon, and then you will see the old icons,the old icons are new,if you click them you will be brought to a lobby searcher, what you need to do is click "CREATE LOBBY" or join one, if you are creating click on settings, local server,then invite a friend or start the game. 5)GUNSHOTS ARE WAY TOO SILENT: EXPLANATION: This is because you installed the high volume version of the Resident Evil weapons sounds. Please Read: This mod started off as practice for me to figure out how modding works in Valve Games. Originally it was a rip of the Population Mix mod by Tricky and heavily modified into my vision to then be uploaded to the workshop. It taught be a bit about how add-ons work, regardless of how low effort this really is. I will no longer be modifying this mod, but I will always repair it if errors are presented. Thank you everyone who has been subscribed to my first-ever mod. You taught me so much. <3 This completely mixes the populations of both L4D1 and 2 infected. However, uncommons are kept in the same places they are seen at, so you won't have a spike in difficulty. I've also mixed a couple of special commons for certain environments. For example, you'll see a few Biker infected at Whispering Oaks (because of the Midnight Riders) and a few formal infected on "The Parish" (because of Mardi Gras).

[xdR] [V-Script] Jockey's Unused Pounce Animation Restored

Restores a seemingly unused animation for the Jockey with XDR and V-Script. Ever seen this animation? Me too, and I figured it was meant to be a dedicated animation for when the Jockey pounces on you. I'm not sure if it was cut intentionally, or simply non-functional all this time, but I feel like having this unique animation for the Jockey's 'pounce' is bit more interesting to look at in comparison to the default jump he normally uses. Given L4D2's development time, Valve seems to have overlooked given Jockey a distinct visual and audio cues for whenever he pounces, as he clearly lacks both. Animation slot is 005 - used to fix/prolong the pounce animation/required for the script to function. Does not replace the default jump animation. If the Jockey jumps, he uses the jump animation, and if he uses his pouncing ability, then he uses this unused pounce animation. Recommended to be paired with my fan-made sounds for the Jockey's pounce as well. NOTE: - Since it is a script, it will ONLY work on local servers. For the uninformed, this does not mean this is single-player only, scripts such as this one will work as long as the person hosting the server has this addon active. - Any script that attempts to do the same will probably not account for the pounce animation ONLY playing on his pounce attack like in my addon. The xdR part of this addon is to ensure Jockey doesn't alternate between his usual jump animation and his pounce animation whenever he jumps, keeping the jump animation exclusive to the jump itself. The V-Script part is to force the intended 'pounce' animation to play on the pounce attack 100% of the time, not the 'jump' animation.

In vanilla, there is roughly a 1/6 chance for a normal common to pull a fast sneaky first punch. Their fastest first swing is 14 frames. Other swings start with 19, 21, 22, 24 frames, etc... This mod makes all of their first swings 14 frames, as quick as their fastest one. No more slow wind-up haymakers. May be mildly infuriating for melee users. Only works in single/local. On other servers, attack speed is normal, just the first swing looks quicker. Melee Radius Stagger

Something that many players do when using melee weapons is move their crosshair to the side as they swing. This is because of the way melee weapons were programmed (Valve lacks foresight, motivation, etc), where you can move your crosshair to hit more infected with each swing. This looks pretty dumb, and is frankly unrealistic. To bring L4D2 back to it's Mil-Sim roots, I've made this script. Whenever you attack with a melee weapon, all common infected in a very small radius will be staggered away from you. This means you no longer need to throw your mouse across your desk like a freak to clear space around you when using a melee. Instead you can just swing once to kill the infected in front of you, and then calmly turn around to deal with the ones who were behind you.
