Ever wanted to be half-fox like the zoologist? Then this mod is for you! This mod allows you to obtain an item that turns you half-fox, providing various pros and cons. It also adds some new pre-hardmode content. The fox transformation How to get it In order to get the item, you must first defeat the mod's boss, the Kitsune Spirit. To summon this boss, you need to have both the witch doctor and zoologist in your town. Once you do, Buy the 'Fox Curse' item from the witch doctor. This item allows you to summon the kitsune spirit. Once you beat the kitsune spirit, you'll get an item called the 'Yokai Spirit' Which you will be able to combine with the Fox Curse to create the 'Fox Blessing', which allows you to transform into a lycanthrope. What it does The fox transformation has a couple of properties: It increases your movement speed, decreases your defense, and it also allows you to press the form ability button, which is G by default, to dash towards your mouse cursor. This is a very useful option for evading attacks, especially in pre-hardmode. The other items Along with the Yokai Spirit, The Kitsune Spirit boss drops 3 other items. Masamune Masamune is a melee weapon with a custom swing animation. While it is selected, it will charge up. A full charge will be indicated by dust particles coming out of your character. When the sword is fully charged, your next strike will deal much higher damage. The sword charges twice as fast if you are in lycanthrope form. Tricentennial Bow The Tricentennial Bow is a ranged weapon that summons a clone when firing that fires a duplicate of your current arrow type. While in lycanthrope form, it will summon 2 clones instead of 1. Kitsune Power This item only drops in expert mode or higher. It is an accessory that upgrades your lycanthrope form to a kitsune form, with multiple fiery tails. You gain an upgraded version of the dash which flies towards your mouse position with invincibility frames. This has a cooldown of 8 seconds by default, but this can be customized. While on cooldown, you will just use the normal fox dash. there is also one other item in this mod, sold by the zoologist: Fox Claws The fox claws are a fast, low range melee weapon that deliver a quick swipe towards your mouse cursor. Lucid Mod aims to add a new fleshed out subworld/dimension to Terraria.
