Affliction The affliction Mod is a WIP mod that adds 10 new weapons, 1 pet, and 1 accessory that focuses on adding more damage over time mechanics to Terraria. Tomes Tomes come in three different types with 3 levels to each. The tenth tome is a combination of all 3. - Blood: Weakens foes to take more damage from all sources and deal less as well. (less effective against bosses) - Frost: Slows down foes and damage in a wide area. (slow does not affect bosses) - Shadow: Builds a massive amount of damage over time on a target that lasts quite a while. Each spell book has their own specific function, weakness, and advantage. Blood is better used against single target enemies or bosses. Frost is best used against large amounts of enemies. Shadow is good in most situations, but can take several hits to ramp the damage needed to defeat powerful foes. Weapons Phantasm, Mindbender, and Mastermind are daggers that you may either poke or throw at targets, applying a plethora of debuffs to any targets hit. Bloodrend, Heartbreaker, Shattered Heart, and Consumption are melee swords that make or break tank builds, allowing for moderate damage while healing the user immensely and empowering their natural life regen. Armor The Midnight Robes give a combination of buffs for both summoning and magic. - Defense scales based on your maximum health. - The Set Bonus Increases your Plague damage, scaling based on your maximum mana. Pets Swarm is your friendly bat pet that will attack your foes and occasionally afflict them with your Shadow tome's damage over time effect, adding stacks and refreshing the duration. Accessories Shadowstep will help you get from place to place, allowing for super fast speed as well as enhancing most sources of damage with its very own damage over time effect. Damage Types Plague damage has a lowered crit chance, but naturally deals higher damage than most other types. Plague scales with any magic or summon buffs and effects, allowing you to dip into either class freely. Scourge damage has a lowered crit chance as well, but gains higher armor pen and attack speed bonuses. Scourge scales with any melee, ranged, or thrown buffs and effects, allowing for hybrid classes between ranged, thrown, and melee users. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is still a work in progress! Future updates (outside of patching current items) will include armor, custom bosses, and more! The balance of these weapons are constantly changing as well, but overall they are 1 to 1 balanced with the weapons they require to craft them with. There is a bug that I cannot find answers on how to fix which is the devourer of gods not spawning when using his summon item after defeating every boss in the game including post devourer and it still wont work! So I created a boss replacement that drops all of the devourers drops. (I think unless they have some item drop that I haven't seen before) (Also the boss rush doesn't work for me for some reason as well so I also have a item that summons a boss that you fight and it adds the boss rush event to the defeat list and drops that rock item) To craft the Devourer Replacement boss summon item and Boss Rush Replacement boss summon item you need 20 Souls of Might at a demon altar to craft both boss items! Note: If you cannot summon the bosses with the item your world needs to first be in Hardmode and one of the Mech Bosses defeated! Developed By Joker
