You need James_UK models for this to work CONTROLS: Wrist Blades: RMB - attack LMB - guard/cover E + RMB - heavy attack C - cloak Wrist Blade: RMB - attack LMB - (release)leap attack E + RMB - heavy attack C - cloak Combi Stick: RMB - attack LMB - aim/throw E + RMB - heavy attack Smart Disk: RMB - attack LMB - aim/throw Laser Mine: LMB - throw Plasma Caster: E - (double tap) activate/deactivate E - (hold) charge E - (release) shoot Shard: H - QuickHeal Bio Mask: F - change vision mode "Suit Zoom" keybind - Zoom FEATURES: Wrist Blades: -While on guard you will only recibe a fraction of "slash type" damage (most NPCs melee). -You can only guard for a certain ammount of health before your guard brokes, the less health you have the less you can cover yourself. -Will cloak in conjuction with the Biomask. -Will block accces to the context menu to prevent redundancy. -Has an animation when activating the cloak. Wrist Blade: -On a leap attack you will be launched forwards, any contact will cause great damage until you hit the ground. -Will cloak in conjuction with the Biomask. -Will block accces to the context menu to prevent redundancy. -Has an animation when activating the cloak. Combi Stick: -The spear is thrown when you release your secondary attack button (LMB by default). -You can always pick it up by pressing use (E by default) on the spear. -Can attach to map, ragdolls, pretty much everything. It will bounce out of NPCs but there is a chance you can get it to stick to their corpses. Smart Disk: -The disk is thrown when you release your secondary attack button (LMB by default). -You can always pick it up by pressing use (E by default) on the disk. -It has a flying curve trayectory, so it will come back to your position on open spaces. -Can attach to map, ragdolls, pretty much everything. It migth go through NPCs (can chain kills) but there is a chance you can get it to stick to their corpses. Laser Mine: -Sticks to walls and cealings. -Can only carry a maximum of three mines. -Will be triggered by anything (except you) that goes through the lasers direction. -Is found under the entities tab. Plasma Caster: -Custom particle effects. -Custom and scaling reticle. -Can be used alongside any other weapons. -Is found under the entities tab. -Old Me: "No it doesnt have any targeting system, nor do I have any idea how to make one work alongside it" -Now it does have targeting system you can acces it by equiping both the Caster and the Biomask, and charging it. -It will pick the closest target to where you are aiming at. -Targets NPCs and Players(maybe) -Targetting sounds. Bio Mask: -"Thermal" vision mode: NPCs , Entities, Players(maybe) are highlighted in glorious animated texture. -Toggled by flashlight (if default key bind). -Custom zoom function. -Custom HUD -Humming Sound. -Equip animation. -Can cause temporary color blindness. -Is found under the entities tab. -Allows for the caster targetting system to be used -Can now cloak if you are using any of the two given wristblades. -While on cloak most NPCs wont attack you. -You'll turn invisible, incluiding the weapons featured in this addon and the viewmodels of any weapon. -When touching water the cloak will deactivate as in the movies. -Will give you back the weapon that you had before picking it up. Shard: -Its only accesible by pressing your H key -Gives you 45 hp. -Can only carry a maximum of three. -Has an animation. -Is found under the entities tab. -Will give you back the weapon that you had before you use it. Overall: -C_models so it works with every player model. -World Models. -Dynamic Holdtypes and player sequences for third person. -Poorly made spawn icons. KNOWN "BUGS": -My caster shot the floor or somewhere where there is nothing to be seen / it tracks every NPC/Player in the map, even if its not at your line of sight or behind a wall. -The sky/something that is not warm appears red on thermal / There is no such thing as "Heat" in gmod that im aware of. The way this works is by using a shader to make the game super dark and then give certain things a light material, so a texture can make the light colors red and the dark ones blue. So if the map has something white enough to not be darkened by the shader (mainly the sky and some materials that are hit by the maps env light) it will be red. -I can see anything but blue in thermal / Just like in the movies :D (this is due to the area you are in is way to dark) -The humming sounds somewhat wired / Its the only way I could get it to work, its not that bad is it? -Something went through the laser and the mine didn't blow up / Only the center line of each axis will trigger the mine, there is not too much point of making every laser work as almost everything will trigger it anyways. -I got killed with my own Disk / Yes this happens to everything that touches it, BE CAREFUL¡¡¡ -My spear or disk disappeared / If what they are stuck to is removed, so will they. -It's buggin out / This is Gmod everything is buggy, having an extrmely over modified game with like 2000 addons will cause this to not work properly. -The mines dont work on the floor. -The double tapping can be a bit glitchy, just spam it until it activates -The caster has no working model. His best customer is Sans, who visits the bar daily and even owns a tab. We've decided that because both the ragdoll and playermodel had to get done, we'd try making this a two-in-one type addon instead of being two separately. Draped in stars and trees, a communications center transmits signals to the deepest reaches of space to trace eons of the past. Unfortunately, they didn't wait long enough. Map is called gm_cloak To make sure all materials are properly loaded, make sure you are using the chromium branch of gmod (x86-64). Also im aware that some graphics drivers may not be able to correctly load certain materials (specifically envmaps) and idk how to fix that w/o changing the material's format or removing parts of the material entirely. Either way, report missing assets in the discussion tab below. No additional content required, although this map is pretty intensive (especuially outside). If you want, you can remove the most expensive entities through the "ent_remove_all" console command for "env_projectedtexture", "func_smokevolume", and "func_dustmotes" Highly recommended to use HDR, as the fake skyboxes and projectedtexture lamps are made/configured with HDR in mind; mat_hdr_level 2 (you can still play in LDR, but features may appear too dark/bright.)
