[LVS] Fairchild Republic A-10C 'Thunderbolt II'

LVS has been updated a lot since these aircraft were made/developed, possible compatibility issues may arise using them. This is not the fault of Luna/Blu. I simply just haven't had time or interest in updating them. The big, 50 year old, slow meme plane that really isn't as good as people make it out to be. Figured I'd just stack this thing with bombs and some rocket launchers on each wing. To stay consistent with all the other cartoonish loadouts, this A-10C carries 4800 gun rounds, 100 missiles, 40 bombs, and 56 rockets (each rocket counts). Features: - Animated turbines - Reloading and tracking missiles - Animated landing gear - All functioning control surfaces - Functioning airbrakes - Gib models - Alternate skins ‎ ‎ ‎‎‎‎- Osea ‎ ‎ ‎‎- Erusea ‎ ‎ - Buffle (Ace) Found under - RoyCombat in the "Entities" tab. FAQ: Q - It doesn't work/broken/has missing textures/no sound A - Subscribe to the required items, be sure to restart the game at least once and actually let it load your workshop items. There's no picking and choosing, you need the LVS - Planes base for this. Otherwise, it's likely LFS | Indev causing issues, based on reports. Q - Why is it so big (physically)? A - Because it is. Q - How can I make a skin for this? A - Templates are out there for Ace Combat 7 models, can easily be found with a search. Path to override skins if you haven't started using submaterial instead yet -> "models/roycombat/a10c/override" Q - Do you plan on making more aircraft? A - Yep, just wait and be patient. Its a pretty basic map that only took me 4 days to make but I've been sitting on it for about 3 days doing fuck all with it lol. Its not really as "dynamic" as the first one but hey, it looks way better. Depending on the support I get from this map I might update it with more "dynamic" features, and yea I know that word is a buzz word and is over used as hell. UPDATE NEW 2025: So, I’m just going to come out and say it—I don’t think this map is going to be updated. The only reason I can give is that I’m currently focusing on other things, and I don’t think the map needs much. I may or may not make a sequel one day, so keep an eye out for that (no promises). Also, I would not recommend reusing the map’s assets since they are owned by another creator. Again, I may remake or update this map in the future, but honestly, it’s just not in the cards for me right now. UPDATE (OLD): So lets just say this map did way better than I ever thought possible... Im going to start to update this map way more! I probably will start with a night version and then work my way up from there. However im working on moving out of my house rn so it might be a while. This add-on replaces NPCs death sounds by an entirely random and silly death sounds. This also applies to players. Replaced Half-Life 2 NPCs original death sounds The original NPCs sounds are muted by a clean way through LUA without changing the sounds files and plays an entirely random sound. It also differentiate female NPCs. A very wide variety of sounds There is over 100+ different sounds across many sources and memes such like Half-Life, Deus Ex, Turok, Redneck Rampage and sounds used by Kitty0706 and similar Gmod animations from the Hollywood Edge sounds library. Grunts, scream, silly meme sounds and some "non-death" sounds used in a creative way such like "I hate you!", the Spy screaming because of jarate and other profanities. I also added a function that limits the chance of repeated sound. Also for players Death sounds is also played for players. You can define the gender through the spawn menu option or just mute yourself. Sounds credits display For people wondering where sounds are from I also added a credits display that shows the source of the sounds effects of the NPC or player you kill and when you die. This option is disabled by default and can be enabled through the spawn menu options tab or with the console command rsdv_credits 1 Thanks to the Soudeffects Wiki that provided many sources for the sounds, The Sounds Resource that hosts many sounds files for many video games and the many files extractor tools that allowed me to gather those clean sounds files. The idea behind this was to create a set of props of the kinds of effects that people usually have to edit into their pictures, such as fire, explosions, muzzle flashes, rain, and blood. This particular pack contains the muzzle flash effects. READ THE DESCRIPTION; THERE'S IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON HOW TO ACTUALLY FIND THESE IN YOUR SPAWN MENU! Features: - Seven different varieties of color for each muzzleflash effect, which can be changed via the bodygroup tool or by right-clicking the spawned model in the context menu and changing it from there. - Five different effects with an alternate version for each effect, doubling the effectiveness of each effect for its intended purpose. - Compatible with the resizer tool. - Compatible for use in Source FilmMaker (I'll provide a link to the SFM version when I can).
