Dark Valley (Lost Alpha)

A gloomy area just east of the Garbage, with the Truck Cemetery in the north, and the Darkscape and Waystation to the south. It is a place frequented by some of the most experienced stalkers, though they are outnumbered by the bandits, who have taken the construction site to the north for their base. To the east lies a derelict administration block and factory complex. Legends say that this complex was the hideout of the Monolith group before they crossed the Barrier, and that there’s an underground lab buried within somewhere. No one has returned from there alive though, so no one can tell for sure just what nasty surprises await. This map is a recreation of the Dark Valley level from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl builds by GSC Game World. It is featured in the Lost Alpha mod. Due to Hammer/Source limitations, the map may differ from the original level. It can be found under the Roleplay section, as rp_darkvalley_la. Welcome to my fourth map it took me a lot to complete this (mainly because the hammer editor kept crashing on me) but at the end I managed to complete it. This map is made by two phases: a defense one where you have to protect yourself and your base from combine assaults and an offensive phase where you have to infiltrate in the combine stronghold in order to open the gates and capture it with the help of the rebels. I really hope you'll like my map and don't forget to like and comment. THIS MAP REQUIRES HALF-LIFE 2 EPISODE TWO IN ORDER TO LOAD PROPERLY MAP FEATURES: - cool fog rain and sound effects create the atmosphere of trench warfare - different settings: battle the combines in your trench or bring the fight to them by infiltrating in their base - waves of combines to fight against featuring soldiers, elites, striders, hunters and APCs - special combine attacks randomly hit the map: helicopters will bomb your position and combine mortars will wreack havoc in your lines - plenty of ammo and medical supplies hidden inside bunkers - An underground tunnel allows you to reach every point of your fortifications undetected - fully noded map that allows NPCs to attack, pursue and take cover from enemies and players - advanced combine AI makes them work toghether seek cover and help each other - combine soldiers throw grenades and combine elites (the white ones) can shoot energy balls - striders can use their warp cannon - combine APCs will fire at you with missiles and machine guns - medics will heal you and citizens (the blue ones) will give you ammo P.S. since I pushed the source engine to its limits with this map I had to delete many parts from the last battle in the combine stronghold so it's basically on a beta phase (few navigation nodes for AI and low-detailed light effects). I hope i'll be able to actually finish it in another map. P.P.S. to all people complaining about the invisible wall in the middle of the map it is there to prevent you from reaching the combine base before the combine assault stopps. Once the enemy attack ends you'll see an on-screen text and the wall will disappear

This SWEP is located in the tab named "Steel Ball Run" When I'll make horses and a saint corpse, I will update this addon (Ballbreaker + Scan confirmed). Addon settings can be found in Q menu, in the right corner there is tab named "JJGMA". You can change dmg and hp bonus, also you can change the skin of your weapon. TO BIND G AND H ABILITIES WRITE IN YOUR CONSOLE THIS : bind g +alt1 / bind h +alt2 R - change throwing mod (spectating / usual) LMB - throw steel ball (outside water) / water spin (in water) RMB - use your spin on medium prop (you'll take this and spin until you release RMB. After releasing the key you'll shoot this prop) G - defence (holdable, you can hold it only 3.5 seconds, after this you need to wait before it'll recharge) H - place a trap (outside water) Mods ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spectating - during this mod, you will spectate the steel ball thrown on LMB and you can change its direction. Also, the ball will not bounce off the props. Usual - just throw the steel ball which can also ricochet from props Water spin ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you are in the water, it starts spinning in your hands. When you fully charge it, you can control it like a steel ball. Everyone in the water will spin and be attracted to the charge (they will also take damage). Defence ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As long as you hold the key, any damage to you is reduced to a minimum. Damage from bullets is zero. Place a trap ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You throw a trap, next to which everyone takes damage and slows down. Level of Spin ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Garry's Mod some props have a golden ratio. As long as you are close to them, then your spin level rises (more props - more levels). The level of spin affects the strength of all abilities, the speed of the projectiles and the recharge rate of the defence (also some visual effects). Another feature ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you hit an enemy with the steel ball, you make his body disobey him.
