Homemade Sentry Turret

A makeshift automated sentry turret made using scrounged up supplies, and one of the numerous MAC-10 submachine guns lying around. Hold the attack button to deploy the turret. The turret will automatically fire at targets in range. Press the use key to replenish the turret ammunition, hold it to recover the turret. This is a scripted custom weapon that doesn't replace any other weapon. Requires the Custom Weapon Base. Please read the FAQ & Troubleshooting thread before asking questions. I know theres already a Juliet mod, but this version is improved with better textures, Zoey's animations (works online), skirt, hair and boob physics and best of all, eye rollings and facial expressions. I've only used Splinks' FPS arms and HUD images, if he requests for contributor credit then ok. But know that i haven't used his model even as a base. No VSLib Dynamic Light: Optimized Muzzle Flash

This addon works as a part of No VSLib Dynamic Light. However, it can also be used alone. Since non-bot survivors already have the vanila muzzle flash light, this light only applies to the muzzle flashes of bots. This mod is optimized compared to the original, making SMG issues and flickering less likely to occur. Of course, since it doesn't use VSLib, it won't cause crashes either. Additionally, the effects are more dramatic than the original mod for the following reasons. The optimization methods are as follows: Only one light spawns. This prevents flickering caused by overlapping light sources. The light teleports in front of the bot for only 0.08 seconds immediately after it fires. This light illuminates a wider area than the original mod, so even if bots fire simultaneously within 0.08 seconds, it appears unchanged visually. In fact, it creates a more dramatic effect. To depict the rapid fire rate of SMGs, I use light_dynamic with style=4 (fast strobe style) instead of rapidly toggling the light on/off like original mod did. Additionally, the light does not teleport to the exact same position as the bot, as in the original mod. Instead, it teleports slightly ahead of the bot. This darkens the back of the bot survivor, creating a dramatic effect. Dynamic light for grenades in hand is still progress. --- Update: You can change brightness of muzzle light by light/muzzle.txt. And fixed an issue melee weapons emitted light.

To Understand Okay, here's some clarity. Ellis will still look normal if you download this. The only difference is that when you're further away, the game will use less polygons for him - which is something the game already does with the L4D1 survivors - making this mod more focused on optimizing. The game didn't do this before, which is bad. Basically, think Vanilla+ or something like that. This is a model mod. Other Ellis mods that replace the model will conflict. Texture mods for Ellis work fine. HOWEVER, one material is included that may conflict with other texture mods if they change the material: mechanic_head_it.vmt To summarize, Ellis has been modded to have better LOD, (Level of Detail,) which means this will give you a better performance. For details: Ellis' model itself didn't really have any problems. The only thing worth mentioning is that I've removed any issues with his fingers weighted to parts of his hands were they shouldn't be weighted. Other than that, Ellis was fine. Just like Nick, Ellis' regular LOD models never actually decreased the polygons. Ellis has 13,776 tris, or polygons. The game also uses that for his shadow, basically doubling the poly-count to 27,552 tris! With this, not only does his model decrease poly-count the further away you are from him, his shadow uses a low-poly model of 2,545 tris. This means that even when you're using the highest model from him, he'll still only render 16,321 tris, which is a 11,231 difference of polygons being saved! LOD 0 - Highest poly-count model. (13,776) LOD 10 - Fingertip bones aren't used. This is the default model used when model settings are Low. Poly-count is the same as above. LOD 15 - Hair detail + others removed. Some fingers' bones are removed. Overall poly-count lowered ~25% (9,961) LOD 25 - Facials removed. Fingers removed. Overall poly-count lowered ~60% (5,075) LOD 40 & Shadow LOD - Hand bones aren't used. Overall poly-count lowered ~80 (2,545) Fun Fact! Before this mod, if you had all L4D2 Survivors rendered with their shadows, you'd get 125,328 polygons total. If you have this mod and the other Survivors, you'd get 74,958 polygons. That's a 50,370 difference just from the lower-poly shadows alone!

Homemade gangster. This is AsXas' Tomacuzi-9, re-arranged into what I call a Tomacuzi-1928; a Tomacuzi with the drum magazine and foregrip of a Thompson 1928A1 thrown in to the mix for a supercharged gangster-styled twisted on the cobbled together aesthetic, with a muzzle break added in for some extra flair and fire. This replaces the Uzi SMG on my own animations, with some of Day of Infamy's Thompson M1928 animations spliced in. Do enjoy. Thank you, for supporting me all these years.
