Real Minigun Sound

This is the sound of a minigun as recorded from the real thing to replace the cinematographic version in the game. A major problem with gun replacement sounds is that the volume level is always too low when one replaces any sound. I researched all I can to change the volume, besides maxing out the WAV files content, which I did. So if you find it not loud enough, like I do too, I apologize but this is how far I can get it without distorting the sound completely. I compressed and normalized as high as possible and then a bit more (so it really clips already). If any other fellow modder knows where to set game volume parameters then please share it with me and I will make this one as real as it gets. I only changed the firing noise, not the barrel rotation start and finish which were left unchanged from the original. 24 May 2020: A demo video has been added. The video also illustrates that (like all weapons in L4D2) the recochet's noise is still audible through the firing, I know it is unrealistic, but the original sound also is like that and there is no way to make this addon's volume higher accordingly. That is a limitation of the game platform.

Culling of Azeroth

UNFINISHED warcraft themed campaign from 2017. I'd planned to create a full campaign which would have you journey through Azeroth in different zones but sadly due to number of problems I had to abandon the project. This first map was pretty much 100% completed and gives a good outline of what the campaign would have offered. I tried out alot of concepts here like forced melee, NPC entities to fight and generally open map design, the results were unstable. Enjoy this as an experimental concept rather than expecting a streamlined playable experience. Back when I was working on this I'd planned to have almost all the weapons melee based with VERY few warcraft guns placed around. The next chapter to this was planned to have been based off Black Fathom Deeps, which would have included ALOT more NPC entities. Tbh this project was just me having a nostalgia nut for abit. This map includes a number of custom melee weapons which can only be found through the give commands, a single unfinished gun replacement for the military sniper was also included. Known issues: -Collision meshes for the Warcraft buildings are awful for AI navigation -NPC functionality is very jittery -Map is abit unoptimised in places, I was more going for looks over functionality making this. -The cave area sometimes causes a crash, I never quite figured out why exactly. VMF included in addon maps folder for anyone interested in scanning through the makeup of this project. You are free to use this map as a backdrop for content however please do not re-upload or edit the project without my permission. I don't wish to see this project continued by anyone other than myself, thank you. I do not own nor claim to own the warcraft assets ported for this map. THIS PROJECT IS DISCONTINUED, DO NOT EXPECT IT TO BE FINISHED.

Left 4 Dead not hard enough? Find cutting through hordes of infected easy? How about up to 200 infected in a wave? This mod adds a large amount of infected for each wave, as well as decreasing the time between waves and adds a few bonuses. This mod is for campaign as well as survival. 1. Adds 100-150 infected for standard waves and 200 for the finale waves. (Average of 7000 kills per campaign.) 2. Increases backup ammo to 960 for each weapon, grenade launcher has 150. (you will need every bullet) 3. Bots will try to complete the level after your death. 4. Bots will now pick up melee weapons. Thanks to LoadedAK47(on l4dmaps) who I got the Bot bonuses from. As .ini edits can?t be unique feel free to use anything from this mod as long as you credit me if using a large amount of this mod. Please note, this mod was tested using a powerful gaming computer and only ran into lag if the finale hordes built up. If you have a less powerful computer you will lag and might end up CTD. How to use: 1.subscribe using the green subscribe button 2.launch l4d2 3.wait at the main menu and l4d2 will download new addons, you can tell when this is finished when the spinning red icon next to the addons option dissapears 4.click on addons and then turn this addon on 5.choose any mode as you would normally and this addon will automaticaly turn on when you start a map if the mod is not working it is most likely a conflict between mods. turn off any other addon that change bot behavior, backup ammo limits, cheat mods, changes to infected stats, then restart l4d2 Restart l4d2 after disabling to make sure changes are removed.

This mod smoothens just the viewmodel arms. Playermodel is a separate addon, made for people who have a modified player model (new hat) but also want smoother arms. (get them in the linked collection) Note: This drasticaly upps the polycount on the model. I would not reccomend using all "Smoothing" mods at the same time, as everything together is quite a heavy load, which makes your game prone to crashes. Huge thanks to tomaz for teaching me about HUD resource files and material proxies! Description This replaces your survivor HUD to a 2023 Resident Evil 4 Style HUD, it's not entirely exact but it should be similar. I tried my best to replicate most things with the original game. Features: - Replaces local player, teammate panel, adding an animated circular health bar by utilizing the CRHB element discovered by tomaz. - Weapon panel for local player is repositioned. - Chat box and caption position is moved a bit up to avoid overlapping with the teammate panel. - Red glowing effect from the original game when you're low on health is applied to the incapacitation panel. - Because of disadvantages of RHB, horizontal health bar and health counter is added to keep track of the incapacitation health better. - Weapon panel cannot be added to the teammate panel. So instead, I used the survivors' portrait for the replacement. - Urik's custom crosshair support included (Check here for available custom crosshairs) - tomaz's CRHB support included (Check here for available radial health bars) - And more as you can see in the screenshots. *CRHB -> Centered Radial Health Bars Limitations: - - The health bar is monocolor, regardless of how much health you have. - Temporary health shows up as normal health (No ticks). - When you die, a small chunk of health will remain on the radial health bar, this is because the game, internally, sets the player's health to 1 when you die (for whatever reason). - When you're incapped, the radial health bar will only decrement once health reaches below 100. - If you get punched off the map by a Tank and fall to your death, it may show the last amount of health that you had. - When playing online and you're waiting to be rescued, the circular health bar will show half of your health. - The circular health bar will always deplete clockwise. - Only a full sector circular health bar for 100 health is possible, this means you can't have a half circle for a 100 health circular health bar or other partial sector. - The size and position of all primary weapons are combined, the M60 icon will pass through the circular health bar, not much I can do about it without modifying the iconsheet, which is a horrible idea since other weapon-type add-ons might replace the icons too. - The item icons will not glow when you switch to them. - The primary weapon icon cannot be moved separately without moving the secondary pistol-type weapon icon, forcing the pistol-type weapon icon and ammo count to be at the bottom of the circular health bar. - And more... Notes: - This HUD is not guaranteed to work properly with a Steam Deck. L4D2 has specific parameters that are applied to certain UI elements when it detects that it's being played on a Steam Deck, since I do not own a Steam Deck, I am unable to check whether it looks okay or not. - This HUD was made in a 1920x1080 resolution, so certain elements may not look accurate at lower resolutions. - If you have survivor skins installed, the game might say that there are conflicts with this HUD, but everything should function as normal (some survivor skins have different named portrait texture files, which causes the survivor portrait to default to the original L4D2 one when incapped, not much I can do about it.) If you have conflicting survivor skins installed, make sure you subscribe to this HUD first and unsubscribe the survivor skins, then restart the game and resubscribe to the survivor skins you use and don't bother with the conflict. If you don't follow this, the default incapacitation panel will show instead of the survivor icon when you are incapacitated!
