This mod adds an extra immersive element to L4D2, by changing the appearance of your weapons during combat. When a survivor or infected is hurt, any nearby players will have their guns be covered in blood. Edited texture files are included for all vanilla weapons and items, so you don't need to install anything else for the mod to work. Custom textures that don't work with this mod can be edited for compatibility by adding extra code to the VMT files. Here is a guide explaining how to do this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3721839264 Whether your gun will become bloody is based only on the distance between you and the survivor/infected who is hurt; even if the target was hurt by another survivor or another infected, the blood will still appear on your gun. Your currently equipped weapon will be bloodied most frequently, but there is also a chance for other items in your inventory that you aren't using to get covered in blood. Any items in a survivors inventory will also gradually return to a clean state. This includes melee weapons, which would otherwise stay covered in blood until the end of each chapter in vanilla L4D2. Items that are dropped on the ground will stay bloody. You can customize this mod by editing the EMS "bloody_weapons\config.txt". This lets you change how close a player must be to an injured target to have their weapon get splattered, as well as how quickly blood will be cleaned off of items. You can also choose between a gradual clean for your active weapon, or a fast fade clean when not in combat.

The UMP is available in four trigger group configurations, featuring different combinations of semi-automatic, 2-round burst, fully automatic, and safe settings.
