Replaces: P220 & Glock / Single & Dual Pistols SOUNDS NOT INCLUDED -- I RECOMMEND USING THE FOLLOWING ADD-ON: L4D1 Pistol Sounds The following mod replaces the default P220 and Glock combo with a port of the original L4D1 pistols, with an added twist. This mod aims to fix (or at best improve) the weird way in which the survivors normally hold the pistols while keeping the original animations intact, this is in essence just the L4D1 pistol animations with improved pistol-holding and sped up animations so that they are fully compatible in online lobbies when playing with people who don't have this mod regardless of whether you are the host or a client, that's about it. To resume the list of changes, this is what this mod has: - HD worldmodels, remodeled from the viewmodel by yours truly. - Since the viewmodel has had its missing bits remodeled, this means that the hole in the back of the grip has also been properly patched up. - Animations have been sped-up to have the same timers as vanilla pistols. - Firing sound order has been fixed, not that you can hear the difference if you use the recommended sound add-on but if you were to take the L4D2 pistols or any other two-different pistol combination and put them in this animset then the pistol on the left would fire first, making the sound that plays the correct one. I tested this mod with a handful of different Survivor mod combinations: vanilla, vanilla with arby26's FP hands, vanilla with Querentin's FP hands and a varied assortment of playermodels with all sorts of hand sizes (this of course includes the playermodels that I normally use) and the overall result was that this mod improved the pistol-holding with 95% of the combinations tested when compared to the original, the couple playermodels that didn't look good have hands that look a bit weird with just about any other weapon anyway. Hopefully this works with your Survivor combination. If you wish to take any assets from this mod (animations, models) feel free to do so, you do not need to ask for permission, just please give me credit for it. This being said please don't make commissions out of this either, thank you. (If you do borrow content from this add-on I recommend you check this page every now and again, sometimes I come back and push an update if something bugs me post-release).
