The late Sir Archibald Dolittle commissioned a small scout submarine, that he could pass down to his favorite grandchild. Sadly, that grandchild turned out to be an alcoholic. Anyways, the DG-M2 got auctioned away, and had its exterior refurbished. It only resembles its original form, the Dugong in the equipment. The mouth part is very controversial, the transducer was moved here to attract creatures - messing up the sonar, and the captain can let in and shock any creature that swims in there. - Dugong style starter submarine. - Captain can operate the exterior discharge coils, can open the "mouth" doors to let small creatures in for harvest, and can operate the "mouth" discharge coils to stun them. - Top docking ring can be used as emergency exit. - Has a deconstructor only, to process animal waste or "liberated" items safely. - It has a depth charge launcher, but it has to be operated directly. - Small display on the nav terminal has a periscope, left click can switch between 3 searchlights to look around. Development Lore The Duress is a submarine equipped with a "mostly stable reactor" R&D claims that this reactor should be able to output more power then most of the submarines available for commercial purchase, However this was not without some sacrifice and "prayers" from the team of engineers who assembled it, By purchasing a Duress you understand that life has it's own challenges and the moderately sized hole in your pocket is about to be the least of them. Features - A nice fabrication bay for all those crafting and storage needs. - A dedicated room for botany that is safely tucked in the dead center of the submarine making it roughly the safest one. - A hefty arsenal of mounted weaponry to deter the local wildlife. (Including a fine tuned EDC that works wonders on swarms) - Plentiful exterior spotlights controllable from the captains room to get a better view of the wonders under the ice of Europa. Con's or noteworthy things - The electrical work on this submarine could be deemed "Shoddy" or "Non OSHA Compliant" however it does do it's job for the most part albeit difficult to manage. (Some devices on this submarine tend to degrade faster and have lower thresholds in order to be repaired making life all the more harder) - Spread out placement of gun periscopes. - The reactor is far from "easy or safe" to use and is very susceptible to sudden surges in power demands mainly regarding the engine or various pieces of machinery around the sub. - A right sided airlock (This can result in easy breaches but R&D believed this was more efficient then putting it near the engine) - Fire + many OSHA violations - (Many other things you will soon discover) The (B.O.T) corp hopes your purchase is to your satisfaction and we hope to see you back from your journey safe and sound.

Calypso is the goddess of the sea. The submarine has long exhausted its resource. She rested on underwater rocks for decades, until marauders discovered her. "Calypso" patched up and replaced faulty equipment, but it did not get better, time takes its toll. Huge holes gape in the hull, all the metal structures are fairly rusted, the strength of the hull does not inspire confidence. P.S. Dugong MOD. Added two fabricators and a deconstructor. Rack for large ammunition. The location of the compartments has been changed. Three suits have been moved to the command, propulsion and reactor compartments. Калипсо — богиня моря. The Fateh (Fah-Tay) is a persian submarine from 21st century Earth that is making its debut on Europa. It comes equipped with a railgun, coilgun, and chaingun, with two additional hardpoints to fill the blind spot gaps, but at the cost of no depth charge or discharge coil capabilities. It comes with a rudimentary automatic reactor circuit that offers basic automation better than the auto switch, but worse than an optimized circuit. Additionally it carries a capable engine, large ballasts with airlock and brig ballast controls for better dive potential when needed, and standard crafting facilities. The goal was to create a vanilla adjacent sub that outclassed other tier 2 subs in firepower with enough reasonable drawbacks to still provide some challenge. The second deck in gunnery being a ledge that you can be knocked off of is meant to serve as a tradeoff in exchange for the above average DPS that a fully kitted Fateh can achieve. Insurgent is meant to fight all kinds of enemies, Its front burst railgun will easily destroy most of the creatures and will do huge damage to any hostile ship. There are also 3 other guns around the submarine along with double coil gun on top which wont leave you helpless, if monsters get you surrounded. However, you won't have to run around like an idiot to find a telescope you need, there is just 2 each with 3 switches, so you can manage your firing direction without moving anywhere or you can just ask your captain to switch it from navigation terminal. Yet this ship is powerful, it also needs a lot of power. In case you run out of fuel or your reactor gets destroyed for some reason, there is a backup battery which will automatically turn on and give you some time to restore your submarine. And if you need to save some power, you can manually turn off all the lights and charging devices in the airlock.
