Disclaimer: This Submarine is meant to be played in multiplayer with at least 2 Players. The steering and gunnery can't be handled by bots. The XU-03 Pelican is a Tier 2 Variant of the XU-02 Sparrow. Similar to the Sparrow MK2, the Pelican also features special special submarine controls, using 3 external cameras, that can be selected either by using dedicated buttons close to the control panel, or by double clicking during steering. It has an additional Hardpoint (equipped with Coilguns) on its keel, which can either be controlled using the Navigation Terminal gun controls, with shared controls on the 3 other hardpoints, or used independently with a periscope. The biggest upgrade to the Sparrow MK2 is an additional Storage unit with Fabricators and a Deconstructor. But be careful to use them during combat, as the reactor doesn’t have enough output to handle the additional power usage and requires battery power to handle the Fabricators load. With the new additions, and the lack of a large hardpoint, the submarine’s “Attack” classification was dropped and the Pelican is now a Scout Submarine. A minimum Helm skill of 50 is required to use the guns of the submarine effectively. A captain is therefore recommended for control of the guns. Steering Pilot Tasks include: - Horizontal and Vertical Steering using the 3 Searchlight Camera located around the submarine. Has Double Click control to toggle between cameras. - Visual Confirmation of Monsters around the submarine. - Keeping an eye on the ammunition of the 3 guns. To control the horizontal and vertical speed of the submarine, the pilot needs to point the searchlight into the desired direction and hold the mouse trigger. When not holding the mouse trigger, the submarine will drift and only slowly lose speed. To break it is necessary to point the searchlight into the opposing direction, and hold the mouse trigger till the submarine is slowed down. Alternatively it is possible to just quit out of the camera control and let the “autopilot” stop the submarine. While not being controlled, the submarine will try to break and stay within 0,5m of the last known location, where the submarine was being steered. Gunnery Co-Pilot / Gunner Tasks include: - Using Sonar and informing the Pilot for eventual dangers like terrain or monster, or giving general directions to the next mission task. - Aiming and firing guns using directional controls on the sonar screen. - Keeping an eye on the status of vital installations on the submarine using a status monitor. - Dock the submarine when near an outpost docking port. Keep the sonar screen fully zoomed out. The gun control allows a 360° aim around the submarine, with aim ranges from 36m horizontally to 26m vertically. All guns that have angles to the aimed location will shoot depending on the selected firemode. Short Burst: Holds trigger for 3 seconds. Long Burst: Holds trigger for 8 seconds. Suppressing Fire Toggle: Holds trigger till pressed again, or selected another fire mode. It is possible to move the aiming location around while the guns are firing. This is a 2 door, 4 button airlock. Where opening the outer door closes the inner door, and vice versa. It has a AI "failsafe" where pushing the button whilst the door is already open, does nothing, as AI's tend to push every button on their way out of an Airlock. This is all done with a few AND components and toggle states, so implementation of an override is fairly simple (note, do not shut both doors, the logic as it is cause neither door to open if both doors are shut), just add signal check components with 1 and 0, and put them in the corresponding doors set states. The different doors have colour coded wires, so it should be easier to reverse engineer. As a bonus this Airlock can be easily reset with a crowbar or plasma tool if both doors are shut (this would usually cause the logic to stop neither of them from opening) .

The Dolmera is made up of a mothership, a shuttle and a drone. The mothership contains everything to sustain life and resist heavy attacks. The shuttle is used to transport divers closer to their destination in safe manner. The drone can be controlled and fired remotely, but it can also embark a few crew members to reload and fire the weapons. The submarine features a communication system using terminals between the components, and commands are available at the captain's terminal for convenience. 4 files are included: • `Dolmera/Dolmera.sub`, the base submarine, which is ready to be embarked on a campaign. It is only equipped with a railgun and two coilguns. • `Dolmera/Dolmera - Mission Ready.sub`, an upgraded version of the base submarine, with more resources, ammunition and weapons. This version is intended to be used as part of non-campaign games. On top of the equipped exterior weapons of the base submarine, it has an additional pulse laser and two more coilguns. • `Dolmera/Dolmera Shuttle Left.sub`, the lower-left shuttle of the submarine, can only be docked from the top and is equipped with a chaingun. This shuttle helps to safely transport divers to mission locations and can fit in big enough caves. • `Dolmera/Dolmera Shuttle Right.sub`, the top-right shuttle/drone of the submarine, can only be docked from the bottom and is equipped with a pulse laser, a depth charge and a railgun.
