"MAX POWER!" Wow, Bearded Expense's character dude guy thing is now a dude thing in L4D2. Badass. In all seriousness, I doubt that I'll be making any more TF2 YouTuber-related mods. Anywho... Rick Stone comes with his expected gear, facial animations, eye tracking, HUD/VGUI icons, the light model for the first level in The Passing, and boomer puke textures. There's no RNG used in this mod like the other TF2 mods I usually make. I know that when Bearded goes on Blu team, he changes the outfit for Rick. I could probably add that, but I recently learned that if you use too many RNG mods, you'll have a higher chance of crashing. So I'm attempting to use RNG as less as possible. I don't really plan on making any other TF2 YouTuber mods. I was inspired to make this after seeing Ace TheOcarinaMaker's "My friends made me play their mod pack for Left 4 Dead 2" video. Without meaning to sound pretentious, I wasn't expecting to see some of my mods used in a YouTuber's video. Seeing that made me wonder, "what would it be like if Bearded played L4D2?" So I made this. I don't know how this would answer my question. Guide: How To Make Mods Work In Versus *Updated For 2025* Step 1 Launch up L4D2 and navigate to a mod of your choosing and hit the subscribe button. Step 2 Exit game and navigate to your L4D2 steam location & create a new folder and rename it to whatever you like. Pathway Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2 Created Folder Picture Example Step 3 Navigate to your L4D2 addons workshop folder & copy the vpk file into the folder that you created from the previous step. Pathway Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop Step 4 Rename the vpk file to the following: pak01_dir Step 6 Navigate back to your L4D2 steam location and open the following text document: gaminfo.txt Step 7 Type in your mod folder name into the searchpaths directory within the gameinfo.txt document and save the document: Created Folder Name Placement Example Step 5 Relaunch L4D2 and enjoy your working mod(s) in versus mode.
