Welcome to Upstate, a unique custom map set in the quiet, wooded outskirts of a suburban neighborhood in Upstate New York. What makes this map truly special is that it’s an exact recreation of the creator’s real-life family home. This map is really more of a love letter to something like cs_insertion, cs_assault and cs_militia. Take elements from each and combine it into a visibilty hell in the woods and you get something that actually seems to play suprisingly well. For a project that started as a joke of a recreation of my childhood home, it sprawled out into the neighborhood and into a hostage map. Feedback is GREATLY!!! appreciated.

О КАРТЕ Геометрия перенесена из версии карты для CS:GO на движок Source 2 для CS2. Все текстуры пересобраны и доработаны с помощью нейросетей — дерево, штукатурка, металл и переплёты книг стали чище и детальнее, при этом оригинальный облик карты сохранён полностью. Освещение выставлено заново под Source 2: мягкие тени от стеклянной крыши, тёплый свет настенных ламп, естественные блики на паркете и мраморной плитке. Отдельная благодарность KyKuwKa — именно он помог достать геометрию карты из версии для CS:GO, без чего этот порт был бы невозможен. A grand staircase with a red carpet runner, bookshelves turned into cover, and a glass roof washing the whole hall in soft light — the atmosphere that's kept this map in players' memory for years. ABOUT THE MAP The geometry was ported from the CS:GO version of the map onto Source 2 for CS2. All textures have been rebuilt and enhanced using AI — wood, plaster, metal, and book-spine materials are cleaner and more detailed, while the map's original look is fully preserved. Lighting has been redone from scratch for Source 2: soft shadows from the glass roof, warm wall-sconce light, natural highlights on the parquet and marble tile. Special thanks to KyKuwKa — he helped pull the map's geometry out of the CS:GO version, without which this port wouldn't have been possible.
