IMPORTANT : If you have the server consistency problem, make sure to turn off cvar and sv_consistency. If there is something else, the exact error message might solve the issue. This makes shotgun gibbing at close range much more brutal on commons. Only works in local/single-player. Originally there was a mods that allowed severe gibbing for shotguns, but it was replacing with a m60 ammo type. It made all shotguns incredibly broken and overpowered. This was really fun, but it wasn't the solution I wanted. Ref: “Shotguns do boom” mod. I wanted to not affect balance and be only visual feedback. So I decided to code my own first VScript, I have a bit of experience in game dev so this wasn't hard to do. For people interested in the code or how I solved the logic. I just got the player's origin position and subtracted the target to get the offset to compare to it's length. The gibbing will only happen if they are 100 hammer units away in vector magnitude. It checks the weapon damage of what the player is using before considering calculation. So in order to get the very nasty gib kill there is 2 conditions you must meet. - The infected should no more than 2ish types of gibbing on them (an arm blowned off or guts exposed). This is due to a engine optimization that valve made to prevent more than 2 texture mask wounds that appear on the body. - The last condition is to be 100 hammer units close, or in other terms: roughly more taller than a player model. QA: I have a ChimiChamo's wounded infected on spawn would it still work? I have the mod on me as well, they will still gib but the best results would to have an unwounded zombie. His mod also still spawns fresh zombies. Would this drop my fps? Unless you had another mod like rag doll 2.0 where it keeps a higher count of corpses before disappearing, this mod won’t lag your game unless you had something else. L4D2 gore system has been optimized to avoid multiple pieces from spawning, that’s why when you throw a pipe bomb only 4 bodies could be visible after the result. Would you do any other mods? Not likely; I do game dev as a hobby in Unity and this is a rare case I had a great idea to mod in source. This is an old engine. Does other players need to download this mod? No, the host is the one who can have it. They can see the gore pile you just made with a shotgun on their client. I have tested it with my friends. It'll still be inconsistent sometimes because I had a time where zombie just died and they are still intact, but they lose a rib in the process. Best be safe and let your friends download the mod, but people on other clients will see the gore, just not as reliable. What mods are you using in this gif? I designed this mod to never affect balance or break other visual mods, this will not affect anything. I run 300+ mods on my own local server and I have yet to find an issue with compatibility. Why can’t you do it for the special infected as well? None of the special infected has a unique custom gore model assigned to them; the exception is the boomer. This is way more complex to do; because you need to implement a custom gore mesh to fit their original models like the witch crown gibbing mod. Or else it just looks weird when you gib them; so I have no intention to putting more effort to have the effect. That would require both client and host to have it and that’s not what I want this mod to do. I don’t take requests, I have college and work. Credits go to..... EDIT 6/14/2022: I don't recommend playing this map. However, If you're a fan of FNaF, you may find certain enjoyment out of this. Don the Suit of Curves & Inexplicablely Combat-Ready High Heels and kicketh some shamblin' muffuckers in the teeth! I hope Francis doesn't hate latex. Or boobs. Most college girls like to kill time with things like craftsmen ship, sports teams, art drawings or just good old fashion video games. Zoey meanwhile, she kills time by actually killing people! Meere basketball and clay sculpting is not enough to satisfy the cravings of this woman! With a nice suit, some stylish leather boots, a long rifle and some delicious, bouncy chest-squishies she'll be off to kill the leader of a destabilizing nation, ensure a successful Coup d'état for its people and be back in time to ace the finals and catch up on The Wire. 'Cause that's college life, baby! Or at least that's what it can feel like at times...christ. Its Zoey! Wearing the suit whats-her-name wore in Resident Evil 5, remodeled and retextured by mosx2 as seen in his New Vegas mod to resemble that of Black Widow, that chick from the Marvel world who's been something of an unidiserved side character in all those recent Disney films who I imagine looks at regular jeans and sweaters with a right middle finger and goes back to her daily life of jumping out exploding helicopters and simaltaneously putting up with Chris Evans' professional dweeb and Samuel Jacksons'...Sameul Jackson-ness.
