Please read this whole bold paragraph, reading a portion of it will not provide enough information. I'm no longer continuing with this campaign. My idea for the campaign has grown beyond what I wanted on it's initial beta release. For example, I wanted a complex story involving time travel, hence the name 2050, however these ideas fell apart when trying to actually craft the story and thinking of engine limitations. Yes, that means I was working on the levels before even trying to create the story, which happened to be a recipe for disaster. I could've switched the names and kept this page up as a fresh start, however it would've not gotten traction and popularity on the Workshop and current subscribers would be confused. I highly regret releasing this as a beta, because, while the feedback was wonderful, the attention died down very quickly. And most importantly, releasing this beta forced me to continue working on the campaign's story and ideas that I were no longer happy with, kinda made my maps suffer. Basically, I'm no longer continuing with 2050's story and basic concept and I'm dropping this workshop page. I am still working on a campaign, it'll bear almost no resemblance to 2050, only borrowing basic concepts, locations, and ideas. This campaign I'm currently working on will not be released as a beta. It will be released 100% finished on day one. Hopefully I'll consider it finished before 2050. I'm so sorry to anyone who has been waiting forever for this project to finish, but I'll promise this new thing I'm doing is worth it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Title is not final, campaign is about halfway finished) The year is 2050. CEDA tried to cure the epidemic, but only created another. There is only one cure, but are you willing to choose it? Welcome to my first ever map for L4D2. It's still very early in alpha. There isn't a final map yet, but it will eventually come. Don't expect the campaign to be done in 2 months, it took me a year to get this far into development. Keep in mind that the maps didn't look like this when they were first created. I overhauled them many times, ESPECIALLY the 2nd one. The way I work takes a long time, but in the end I think it makes a greater product. This is cliche but school is taking away time I have to work on this. Currently I have a lot to work on, but I hope it doesn't continue like this the entire year. How far each map is finished Map 1 - 98% (Remake progress 40%) Map 2 - 98% Map 3 - 98% Map 4 - 15% Map 5 - Might happen if Map 4 ends up being too big and long to fit a standard sized map and the finale. Please play this map and give me your thoughts and report any bugs in the pinned thread. I would really appreciate it. If you could spread the word, please do as it brings more attention and more possible feedback and will benefit your enjoyment in the campaign. Some textures I used are from textures.com.
