I remembered that there was a Heavy Weapons Guy for Tank mod originally made by Vincentor and it included a Sandvich rock replacer. So, I removed The Heavy and left the Sandvich. Now, you will have to fear and laugh at a sight of a Sandvich-tossing Ursa Major Heavy Tank. (suggestion) This works with all Tank replacers that change the Tank model (Except Donkey Kong Tank due to his custom rock, along with Randy Savage Tank, Kool-Aid Tank and Rex the Impailer's Terry Crews Tank). Okay, blowing up zombies that circle around a ticking pipe bomb was pretty cool. But honestly, it got really boring! When did helping your friends survive in the apocalypse become so repetitive? Sure, I got a few giggles from watching limbs and bodies scatter while hearing Patrick Star screaming "FINLAND!", but that just isn't comical enough! I then knew it was my destiny to create this mod. This mod changes the pipe bomb beeping sound effect to the seagulls from the Disney film, Finding Nemo, screaming, "MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE!" This should make the result of using a pipe bomb much more comical and entertaining. This add-on is now no longer useful, as SeriouS_Samurai's upload of Helm's Deep -Reborn- is set to private, and therefore cannot be found on the workshop anymore. I have re-uploaded a cleaned and safe version of the map for you to play instead, you can find it here. This add-on will not be deleted, due to it being relevant to the whole ordeal surrounding the map, but it no longer serves any function, so you can unsubscribe from it without any problems. For archival purposes, the remainder of the this description, starting from below the line, is the old description. ________________________________________________________ Make sure to subscribe to this fix BEFORE subscribing to Helm's deep -Reborn-, otherwise it will not work. If you're already subscribed to Helm's deep -Reborn-, you need to unsubscribe from it, subscribe to the fix, and then resubscribe to Helm's deep -Reborn- in order for the fixes to take place! Furthermore, every time an add-on recieves an update, it will shuffle the add-on order in your list around, so make sure that the fix mod is always listed above the original map, otherwise it may not work. Please refer to this discussion for an optimal download order to fix your game! If you'd like to unlock the paid weapons, check out this mod. Keep in mind, that this restores the vanilla main menu by valve, so it will conflict with various other UI mods. If you want a mod to take priority over the fix, while retaining the fix's functionality, simply subscribe to that other mod before subscribing to the fix. ____________________________________________________________________________ A simple mod that fixes the issues that occur when subscribed to Helm's Deep -Reborn- on the workshop, for users who want to keep using the map without the unecessary UI changes. This fix adds back options that were removed, for example singleplayer, quick-match, and more. The relevant files were given to me by a source which requested to remain anonymous. All content has been tested and verified by me personally and any future changes to Helm's Deep will be patched in this fix file asap, so it will always be up-to-date. The following information comes from a source who wishes to remain anonymous, but who has first-hand knowledge regarding the situation surrounding Helm’s Deep hidden menu changes. The author of Helm's Deep Reborn, SeriouS_Samurai, was a member of the L4D2 scripting and Workshop Beta team, largely responsible for testing the game and providing feedback, bug-testing, and suggestions for improvement. In a thread he created on the game's forum on Steam, he suggested many changes that he wanted Valve to make before the game shipped. Since all but one of the changes that he requested were ignored, he eventually decided to use his platform as the author of the most highly subscribed add-on to force his suggested changes on the largest number of people's games. If you read the thread, which he later posted to the Left 4 Dead 2 Workshop Beta group, you can see that a number of his suggestions correlate to the UI changes that he implemented into his workhop add-on, Helm's Deep Reborn. Despite warnings that it was immoral to make changes against user's consent or knowledge, he went through with it anyway. A recent update to Helm’s Deep added many altered resource files with the sole purpose of changing L4D2’s interface to his vision of how it should appear. Removing them from the add-on shows that they are completely unnecessary to the map and serve only to change the menu to his liking. His update corresponded to the increasing reports on the Steam forums that pieces of the menu had mysteriously vanished. Time and time again it was shown that the source of this stress was Helm’s Deep Reborn. This culminated in a Steam thread that explicitly (and perhaps a little misleadingly) stated that Helm’s Deep Reborn contained malicious code. This was the impetus behind our add-on. While we hold nothing against the map or its author, it is our opinion that this behaviour should not be tolerated by the L4D2 community, who deserve to know exactly what they’re getting when they subscribe to a Workshop item. This add-on was created with the intention of restoring the vanilla look of Left 4 Dead 2 from the unnecessary UI changes included in Helm’s Deep Reborn, and will be updated accordingly if and when Helm’s Deep receives any other update. We believe that L4D2 community members deserve to have control over how their game looks, that they deserve to be able to play Helm’s Deep without sacrificing their menu. Lastly, we hold no enmity to SeriouS_Samurai and we hope that eventually this may influence him to remove his UI changes from his add-on entirely. MP5 SOUNDS: Download this here,extract to your game folder, then rebuild your sound cache. Since 12.oct update the MP5 sound are no longer included, since they are 22050khz and i can't modify them to be higher without directly manipulating game files. Plus, if i had included those here, they wouldn't have worked. Some sounds i made in audacity. Took audio from various games, took some good old sound samples and kabam. Thought id make this for personal use but i came out liking it a little too much. Sounds very smexual indeed. Or its just me. Made in one day. Bugfixes done in three days. Sounds for all the weapons. Emplacement weapons, css weapons are in the list. Altered incendiary sounds for all those weapons. More bass, more detailed, less clipping. Some of the reload sounds adjusted, higher quality. They dont differ too much from the base L4D2 sounds. You can still hear the old sounds in the new ones, but they are remastered. Not entirely 100% new. I urge you to try this out. I personally am quite stuck with it.
