It was issued only to Luftwaffe pilots as a survival weapon in case their plane was shot down and they survived, and was nearly forgotten in hisotry due to its rarity. This weapon replaces the SPAS-12, and the rifle barrel is not usable. The gun in L4D2 can only fire 12-gauge shotgun shells.
