Everlasting Hallow The Hallow was never harmless. It was merely being polite. Everlasting Hallow is an ode to Terraria's brightest biome: its music, its colors, its impossible creatures, and the deeply suspicious fact that something this beautiful can still kill you. This mod makes the Hallow more intense, more present, and much harder to ignore. The screenshots and short clips above show the result: radiant terrain, Hallowed Lava glowing through the world, and creatures so impossibly lovely that you may briefly forget to run away. A brighter Hallow The surface Hallow now brings its own daylight with it. In Hallowed overworld areas, night is brightened toward a vivid, pearlescent day so the biome's colors do not disappear the moment the sun does. For the suspicious among you, the overworld screenshots above were taken at 10:19 PM. The clock is innocent. The lighting is not. The Hallow also keeps its identity underground. Its surface and underground themes are given priority across Hallowed areas, even when other biome layers and scene effects would normally compete for the microphone. The result is a biome that sounds like itself instead of quietly surrendering its soundtrack the moment it crosses a dirt layer. Hallowed Lava The centerpiece of Everlasting Hallow is Hallowed Lava: a radiant custom liquid that burns, carries Hallowed Radiance, and spreads the Hallow through ordinary lava and nearby terrain. - Aggressive conversion: Hallowed Lava can turn nearby regular lava into more Hallowed Lava and convert nearby stone, grass, sand, and ice into their Hallowed counterparts. - A biome made of liquid: when enough Hallowed Lava gathers around you, it can establish a Hallowed Lava biome presence and call the Hallow into the area. - More visible spreading: the liquid receives its own spreading opportunities in the region around active players, including liquid-filled cells that vanilla tile updates tend to overlook. Stay nearby and you can watch the glamour advance in real time. Terraria's optimization has been respectfully informed that it is no longer the only priority. - Hallow resilience: native Hallow creatures and NPCs are immune to Hallowed Lava, because even the Hallow's most aggressive miracle should know better than to cook its own citizens. Hallowed Lava is deliberately most active and most noticeable while players are in the surrounding area. That makes it less of a distant background simulation and more of a living spectacle: leave a pool unattended, come back later, and discover that the local geography has developed opinions. The Prismatic Charm The Hallow's surface creatures do not have to treat every passing Terrarian as an emergency. Equip the Prismatic Charm and Pixies, Unicorns, Gastropods, and Rainbow Slimes become neutral toward you: - They will not damage you. - Your attacks will not damage them. - They can turn their attention toward nearby hostile creatures instead. The Prismatic Charm is sold by the Princess in Hardmode for a base price of 1 Platinum Coin. If you know how to make the Princess happy, the price may become less personally offensive. The gallery above shows the arrangement in action: the Hallow creatures can pass through you unharmed while remaining perfectly capable of making someone else's day considerably worse. Bottomless Hallowed Lava Bucket Want to bring the glow home? Craft the Bottomless Hallowed Lava Bucket at a Mythril Anvil with: - 1 Bottomless Lava Bucket - 10 Hallowed Bars - 20 Crystal Shards - 10 Souls of Light The bucket places an endless supply of Hallowed Lava wherever your world needs more color, more light, or a frankly unreasonable amount of purification. Dependency Requires Mod Liquid Library by Lion8cake. Initial release This is the initial release of Everlasting Hallow. It is expected to have some bugs and rough edges, but the core experience is already bright, dangerous, and delightful to play. Future updates will depend on player engagement, feedback, and the number of glamorous disasters reported back from the field. If something breaks, please let me know what happened, where it happened, and whether it looked beautiful while doing so. Ah, and don't forget to make a backup of your most beloved worlds, because I didn't test yet for mod removal, and although I do'nt think it'll break your map, the Hallowed Lava once uninstalled should leave behind empty banks that used to have lava, so there's you thoughtful warning.
