A reimagining of Ridy's Kaimas map using (some) of the latest CS2 Hammer Tech. Amateurily done But Why?? Where's my OG Kaimas?! Alright, time to take a seat and grab a snack because its story time. Essentially, the entire map broke after the big animation update and importing it back into CS2 using the exact same process I used a year ago just completely crashes my Hammer no matter what I do during asset importation. So I said screw it, if I need to manually re-import all the mdl and vmats that arent broken, I might as well fix bugs, delete obsolete entities, update lighting, and throw my own spin on it. What you see is the results of two weeks work. Hey, atleast you can play Kaimas again. What's Changed? - Removed all obsolete cubemaps, lighting, and skybox references which should hopefully prevent the entire map crashing when another big update rolls around (RIGHT DEVS???) - Recreated cubemaps - Regenerated Nav Mesh for bots - Map supports increased bot teams (up from 10) - Added CS2 bits, like new glass, grass, dynamic lighting, and intro and winning screens. Do let me know if I went overboard and performance is suffering because of it - Replaced old CSGO assets with their shiny CS2 equivalents - Most of the assets were re-imported from how Kaimas originally had them, however I changed materials of mostly buildings so that everything looks more rugged and dirty - Cleaned up lots of redundant meshes - Most flora was replaced - Most destructible planks were removed, too janky to really be worth it - Overall much reduced file size thanks to using a lot of CS2s already available assets, yipee! Otherwise that's it. Its 98% the Kaimas you know and love, I tried not to change any prop placement or map routes. For better or for worse. Thanks everyone for sticking in there. And thanks devs for making me have to completely rework this entire dang thing. Credits and Disclaimer Original map was made by Ridy , im just the amateur who ported it for CS2.
