Whitaker's Gun Range (Mod Test & Survival)

Whitakers gun store oughta be more than just a store, don't you agree? Now it has a range in the back, which you can use as a backdrop. This map is mainly intended for testing and showcasing weapon mods. It has a second function as a survival map, but that exists just cause i could. Check the ingame console for a big block of text with some more info and tips. Map names are: range_whitaker, range_whitaker_l4d1. What this map includes: - Versions available for both L4D1 and L4D2 survivors. - Standalone map set in Whitaker’s store, with a shooting range in the back. Targets pop up randomly and scores based on accuracy. Center hits give the most points. - Mounted weapons can be spawned and cycled via the counter computer. - Fully accessible store, including Whitaker’s room with "under the counter" items like melee, throwables... - Roof access through Whitaker’s room. - More open outdoor area for easier movement & Infected testing. - Reworked visuals inside and outside to better match an actual gun store. - Extra details like billboards, improved lighting, and updated color correction. - Small gameplay tweaks (longer shove limit, reduced voice spam, no item glow at distance). - Survival mode starts via the intercom. - You can console-spawn any melee weapon you have through a custom melee manifest. Notes: - May conflict with some of my other maps due to shared custom textures (The Parish / Swamp Fever). Safe to ignore. - Uses long draw distances for better visuals. May impact performance on low-end systems. Prop fading has been added to help reduce crashes. - High entity count. Restarting via console may crash. Use the "kill" command to reset instead. - Large file size due to custom content. - Riot shield requires a separate unlocker mod to be usable. Unfortunately, his vision got blurred to the point where every survivor looked like Luigi, Daisy's love interest, so he vomited a lot and spread his eggplant slime anywhere and everywhere, giving a new spin to his former baseball team name, the Waluigi Spitballs. Nowadays, infected victims are doomed to forever live a spin-off only existence in their video game series, to never play a starring role no matter how hard they try. Aside from psycho fan games. Want (mostly) purple slime for the purple menace? Try this mod! sv_consistency 0 isn't needed You do not need sv_consistency 0 to run the game unlike some other model imports. This doesn't stop Waluigi from trying to slime you though. If you get any issues with "bad texture", try rebooting the game. From my experience, the issue seems temporary and not related to my addon. Of course, if you get any issues, *please* tell me. Useless Features -A useless world model. -A voice belonging to a useless loser. -Music that would belong only to certain useless pinball machines. -Useless arms and useless HUD for a useless multiplayer Versus mode where useless players often get kicked by less-useless players. This mod replaces the Pain Pills with an iPhone 6 that includes WhatsApp and a lot of neat animated features. Basically, now that your Pills are an iPhone 6, you can check the time, admire beautiful wallpapers and the last but not least, chat with the Special Infected on WhatsApp, when they are willing to write you. To my knowledge, this is the first and only mod for L4D2 that adds a new "player interaction" to an item, while at the same time working on every server (because no script, eh.). The features as well as the instructions on "how to use it" are displayed below. If you have any question regarding that mod, feel free to ask it in the comments section :) PS. This is just an old project I now release, I'm still busy doing work related stuff and won't release new stuff in the upcoming months :P As Steve Jobs was taking his final breath, he closed his eyes into darkness, but instead of seeing his whole life flash before his eyes, only one thing was displayed to him : "This content requires Adobe® Flash® Player, which is not supported by your device." The list of features is so big that I've actually done a "List of features by features". Special Infected can randomly message you (1 conversation per map) Once one infected has sent you a message, you'll get the WhatsApp notification Standing still and not moving your head while having the iPhone in your hand will open WhatsApp The iPhone displays the amount of time spent in the current map It syncs with the animated clocks mod 24 hours support. If you wait 24 hours, it will realisticly cycle The iPhone gets a random battery level each map The battery runs out as time passes. Both the % and the icon filling will change accordingly Once the battery is too low, it will display a "No more power" screen, then eventually, the phone will shut down Ultra HD Textures (2K) with an actually better resolution than the true iPhone 6 themselves The Wallpaper for the desktop can be changed by subscribing to third party addons RNG (per map) for the Wallpaper Design, up to 30 designs supported Extremely easy way for people to make Wallpaper Packs (Automatic RNG without even having to code it) New ModAMod support (People who want to make Wallpaper Packs can make them separately and it will work with this addon) Possibility for you to choose your OWN custom Wallpaper (if you know how to import a Spray and get the said pack) 24 different conversations between you and the infected. Each conversation has 3 phases : The infected writes to you ; You reply ; The infected replies one last time Easy way for me to add more conversations in the base mod, or to release conversation packs. PART 1 OF 2 - YOU MUST SUBSCRIBE TO BOTH FOR THE CAMPAIGN TO WORK! The infection has left more than a wake of dead in Beldurra. Something big is living there now, and it brings down the Survivors' chopper as they attempt to fly over. Players will make their way from the wilderness through the city and finally to an all-original boss battle finale by a riverside carnival. Beldurra 2 emphasizes an already-present arcade element while encouraging teamwork to accomplish tasks (often with multiple solutions) to proceed. There are more common infected and fewer SI, among other changes. The campaign also contains a great deal of original content, including textures, sounds, music and ways to shake up gameplay (lockpicking, building stations, etc.) Enabling the Instructor is recommended. Special thanks to Borkjop for textures, testplaying, and undying enthusiasm, and to Paz and Chainsaws Ahoy for playtesting and input. With the exception of the "Wilhelm scream" in map 5, all custom content is original material.
