An alternate version of the campaign with L4D2 Survivors is available here. City of the Dead Redux is a remake of City of the Dead originally released back in 2016, from the ground up. It incorporates the same general ideas of the original, while improving upon them. The Survivors must make their way through an abandoned city and end up in a mall, eager to escape they climb to the rooftop for a potential evacuation. Its not only night mode, it has different spawn points for Items and scenerios. So every time you play, it has some added ramdoness if you make comparison to the original. Overall, this campaign is more horror like and has extra difficulty. Added few new paths that look much better. If we talk about the older version, this one has new VGUI icons and poster with loading screens. Maps were rerendered with more detailed shadows and few small fixes to make it work better with last L4D2 updates. Its not just a night time mode, it is much bigger update than it looks to be. Beware! this mod uses a custom script to make the weapon right-handed. That can cause problems with some servers. As such... 1.) Restart your game after installing the addon! 2.) It's recommended you add "sv_consistency 0" to your autoexec.cfg. 3.) If it still flips in game, go to your left4dead2 folder, find "addons\workshop" and move vpk addon into "addons" folder.
