In the early 2000's, a group of mercenaries from Europe settled in the Oregon high desert and extract new raw radioactive material from the ground. Alerted by the situation the US government must intervene and violent war broke out in the state south of Washington. Salem, Oregon's capital ends up devastated by the striking of a KSR-5 missile used by the Russian army in the 70's. After a long year of carnage, mercenaries are losing ground and took refuge in the depths of the desert, peace is restored. The government entrusts to Scorpion-7 research units based in the north of Everett, Washington and Scorpion-8 in Eugene, Oregon, with the study of radioactive rock.
