Last Update 3.18.8.1 Welcome to the Lands Of Usmos! Usmos is a large map of islands with big cities, towns, farms and much more. There are many secrets to find and hideouts to scavenge, underwater ruins, army base... You name it! Usmos is fun to adventure alone, with friends and works well as a server map too! This is the very first map of my own creation. I'm trying to update this as often as needed to add more goodies to keep up with the upcoming updates. If you have ideas for improvement, find problems or generally have anything to say, feel free to comment. I hope you enjoy! Thank you.

Crimson Island [WIP]

To have the Custom NPCs in the map, you must first download the Custom NPCs workshop item: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=776239243 Location Details: Crimson Island In crimson island, you will find a very small town with a few buildings inside. This island also has a helicopter crash site and an American-based camp. You spawn here when you enter the game and respawn here when you die. - Helicopter Crash Site Here you will find a crashed helicopter with three investigators trying to find out what happened to it. The investigators are custom NPCs. - Crimson Town This town has several buildings such as Apartements, Banks, Bistros, Cafes, and Weapon Attachment Stores. It also has a Police Departement near the shore so watch out for that. There are also three airdrop crates submerged inside the fenced area. You can loot guns with the cost of EXP points. - The Red Barn This place is a farm filled with wheat and yet-to-be-added farm loot. This place used to be the American camp. Leaferson This island is like West Ardougne of RuneScape. It's been separated from Crimson Island using future explosive technologies by the government due to an infection that started at the dead forest. You will find a dead zone here, a very dark, creepy, and scary forest, the unfinished Mt. Leafy, and more things. - Dead Forest This place is literally dead. It's filled with zombies and snow which makes the place dread. A mega zombie spawns in the heart of the forest and drops quite good loot, and so does the zombies inside. Be careful when entering, zombies have health below normal. - Shipwreck Yet another wreck in the map, this time it's the Liberator aircraft carrier. It's been infected on the journey from Russia and crashed into the shore of Leaferson. You can explore underwater rooms for yet-to-be-added loot. This area is a dead zone. Come prepared. - Mount Leafy A missile has landed on Mount Leafy! What effects will it have on the rocky outcrop? - Special Operation Forces Base This base belongs to those Spec-Ops mercenaries in front of the Dead Forest's entrance. You require a power source to access it. Inside, you can find tents, barracks, and towers containing yet-to-be-added loot. - Scorpion Valley Mount Leafy has been taken over by research group Scorpion-7, and now has a biodome with three Mega-Zombies! Wonder what will happen in the future? Slavery Island This island is a work-in-progress. There is currently no way of getting on to it unless you cheat or use a flying vehicle. This is a fix for The Driftless V2.1 by Storm_Epidemic. ALL credit for the fix goes to Ant. --- Description from The Driftless V2.1 with fixes to spelling and relevancy. --- A land ravaged by glaciers for millions of years. A lake as large as a sea, with thousands of unique rivers, towns, and types of Sturgeon. Explore the heart of America as you travel across the States of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota. Possibly the first Post- Russia Insane Sized map. The map features detailed towns (11 of em) and a HUGE lake (2.8 K across) Camps, Boats out at sea, ship wrecks, Farms, Centipede 80X Research Labs, Custom Clothes, Custom Ambience, Custom materials, and TONS and TONS of secrets! As stated above this is an insane sized map, which is exactly 4x as large as a large sized map, so basically 4x the size of Russia, with equal amounts of detail. --- Recommended Settings from The Driftless V2.1 for Lower End PCs. --- The suggested settings are: Bloom > Off Chromatic > Off Film Grain > Off Clouds > Off (Highly recommended, they annihilate performance) Terrain Transition > On Height Fog > ON (the next couple are all optional) these next few matter the most to improving performance Anti-Aliasing > FXAA (TAA is fine too, but i don't suggest it) Grass Density > Medium (I didn't notice any difference between Medium and Ultra, other than FPS) Sun Shafts > High Lighting > High/Ultra Ambient Occ > Off (Suggested, but DO NOT put it up to High or Ultra) Water Quality > Medium / High (Ultra DESTROYS performance, seriously don't do it) Terrain Quality > Ultra The new trees: With new trees being supported on The Driftless, for low end users DO NOT USE THEM. Use the old tube trees and the map will run as smooth as butter for you guys! --- Recommended PC Specs from The Driftless V2.1 --- When i mean 'Recommended' i mean that you can get 60+ FPS on high settings on this map. PC's far worse than the recommended can run it on medium settings just fine 4 GB or more of RAM GTX 600 or higher (I run a GT 730 and i run it fine, i just recommend something better) At least 70 MB of HDD space (Yes, Really.) A cpu speed of at least 3.00 GHz *GENERAL DISCLAIMER* This map takes a LOOONNG time to load into the game, and yes, it SHOULD freeze your PC at least 2 times while loading, don't worry its normal. It is an Unsupported map size and while i only ran into 1 major bug (Now fixed) i warn you to exit the game normally so in case the game crashes you don't lose anything. *SERVER DISCLAIMER* The map is not supported by nelson, the reason he removed it was because it was known as the 'Sever destroyer' meaning servers have a rough time running the map due to it's size. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT HOST A LAN SERVER OR ANY OTHER FORM OF SERVER USING THIS MAP ON THE SAME PC YOU ARE USING TO PLAY ON, IT CRASHED MY PC 2 TIMES WHILE TESTING.

The better russia map. Added Irelandand, France, Greece and Carpat map Guns, new locations, location for Oil Rig and militia base added, new npc with vendros shop, new quests and zombies. Some items quests are changed like the pirates bones are all on liberator, the pirates treasure are behind liberator on the water, added some military tents and cenarie Airdrops for military loots on the 2 big citys. The shadowstalker is bugged so i have made another way to get it, with new npc, you can get the weapon and MK.II drums on the npc.

Carpat Vanilla-ification

First off, all credit for the Objects and the original Map still goes to Battlekot and his Team. This is essentially just a little rework for the map, I switched out all the loot tables for the ones from the russia map and changed the zombies clothes to vanilla ones. Ive also fixed some clipping errors and added some more detailing to spots I felt were missing out on it. The Animal Spawns are still the original ones, so be wary of the Wildlife.
