Soul Sanguisuge is a mod that allows you to gather Monster Souls (which are currently crafted with various mob drops, but I plan to make them actually drop soon™) and convert them into useful gear. It's based on old versions of a mod called Ersion (which has pretty much been abandoned now). Intended to be used alongside mods that expand the game past the Moon Lord (such as Calamity and Thorium), (or just content mods in general), but can be used by itself. I'm trying to strike a good balance when it comes to the game stage items can be made at (e.g. the sword can be used from the beginning to the end of the game) Current content: A new Luck potion! (Grants it for 30 minutes) An upgradable sword (has 3 levels and 2 specialized forms) - Inflicts some debuffs (Cursed Inferno and Ichor) once upgraded An upgradable bow (has 3 levels) ~20-ish new accessories (most of which are able to be upgraded throughout the game) 2 new buffs - 2 potions that activate the new buffs A new healing potion past Super (heals 325) A new food item (gives Well Fed for 7 minutes) And a quest fish (not sure why you'd want to catch it though...) HOTFIX V1.1.1: -Fixed bug where Sword Fury's damage calculation that makes the player basically immortal. -Changed Sword Furry code so that both melee items and melee projectiles can increase sword fury however it would only count if the target is within 200 px of the player when they are struck. -Due to the fact that it's easier to stack fury now, its attack speed bonus has been nerfed to 0.25% per stack. -But sword fury now lose stack x2 times slower. BIG UPDATE V1.1: NEW MECHANICS: Sword Fury: Melee hits increase Sword Fury by 1 if enemies if within 200px of player, each point of Sword Fury increases attack speed by 0.25% but also increases damage taken by 0.2%. Sword Fury decays at 5 per second after not increasing for 1 second. This feature is toggleable but certain weapons are/will be balanced with Sword Fury in mind. Note: Although the term True Melee is used in description, this mod does not work with Calamity's true melee damage type as far as I'm concerned. WEAPONS CHANGES: -Radiant Bloodshell now shoot a projectile but true melee damage is nerfed drastically. -Deus Extermina now shoot 4 types of projectiles to reflect its description but true melee damage is nerfed drastically. (Sorry true melee fans, next update got something for you). OTHER CHANGES: -Sprites of most items updated Author's note: Next update around 14/3 - 15/3. However after that one updates would be at lease 2 weeks apart as modding take a backseat so I can focus on my original game projects. I am also considering changing the name of the mod since it's not only adding swords anymore. Next updates: MORR SWORDS for pre-hardmode (will probably come with cool mechanics), refined Sword Fury button interface (right now it could be disruptive in certain situation, it will be changed next update), more custom ores & drops & recipes. Shortswords plus is a mod that tries to improve on already existing shortswords, as well as adding new ones (in the future) Currentlly implemented changes: All ore shortswords gain a secondary attack that would let you dash a certain distance as well as get some immunity frames. Gold/platinum shortsword inflict midas debuff on hit, making striken foes drop more money.
