Welcome to Aiko's World / Conquer the Odds with Aiko, v0.2.2! The mod can now be played in English! (Under testing - please report any bugs you find.) —————— This mod gives you an anime-style companion girl you can talk to, complete with expressive animations, plus extra features. As the game progresses, she can even obtain a living body and become a second player in your game! Here's a quick guide on how to use this mod. This mod adds a new item: the "Aiko's Soul". Your character gets it automatically the first time you enter the game. Use it, and the soft and cute Aiko will join you to explore the world of Terraria! In the settings, you can choose Aiko's dialogue mode. In LLM mode, Aiko talks with you through an external AI model; this mode requires you to configure your own API key, and lets you experience all the mod's features. In Auto mode, Aiko uses the mod's built-in dialogue corpus, so most of the time she talks on her own, but there are also some preset simple interactions; this mode gives you the mod's basic features. Basic features: Aiko speaks, mini-games, physical companion (can fight, mine and chop wood; supports custom weapons and armor) LLM-exclusive features: "Aiko's God Mode", web search, Ask Aiko, highly flexible two-way conversation Feature details: —————— Aiko Speaks: Aiko talks to you proactively in these situations. When a boss appears/dies. When an event starts/ends. At day/night transition. When entering a new biome. When the player is in bad shape. When the player dies. When the player obtains certain items. When Aiko hasn't talked to you for a while. When you type "/aiko " in the chat to talk to her. In Auto mode, Aiko's lines are pre-written. In LLM mode, Aiko can react somewhat to other mods' content, though mostly she goes by names unless you enable web search in the settings (and you may need to remind her to search). You can also talk to her via "/aiko ". —————— Mini-Games: You can play some pre-designed mini-games with Aiko to pass the time while AFK farming. Currently available: Connect Four and Add-to-21. More mini-games are on the way. —————— Physical Companion: This mod adds a new item: the "Core of Ingenuity". Crafted at a Furnace from Tissue Sample/Shadow Scale x8, Dirt Block x5, Snow Block x5, Ash Block x5, Cloud Block x5, Iron Bar x10. Use it and Aiko gains a temporary living body. Use the Bag panel to view the items she collects and set her equipment and appearance. In testing, she can properly use many melee weapons (swords, flails, etc.), ranged weapons (bows, guns, grenades, etc.), magic weapons (staves, etc.), and summoner weapons (whips, summon staves, etc.), with accessory and armor set bonuses supported. In testing, she can use Calamity weapons like Murasama and Ark of the Cosmos, trigger the Demonshade armor set bonus, and use wings properly (probably). Use the Commands panel to control her actions. Follow: Aiko's temporary body follows you and attacks nearby enemies. Standby: Aiko's temporary body stays in place but still attacks. Chop: Aiko roams the surface and chops trees with an axe from her bag to collect wood. (She can't walk very far and may get stuck.) Mine: Aiko mines ores for you with a pickaxe from her bag. Note: don't pick this at home, or she might tear the place down. (The author has optimized the algorithm many times, but there's still a small chance she gets stuck underground, so don't fully trust her to mine alone.) Use the Customize panel to design the temporary body's appearance. The temporary body starts with 100 HP and 20 Mana. Give her Life Crystals and similar items and she'll consume them to boost her stats. —————— Aiko's God Mode: Use "/aiko " to make requests to Aiko - at this moment she is omnipotent! Of course... she doesn't have to agree. You can ask her for items (though what she gives may not be exactly right), have her change the in-game time... or something else...? —————— Web Search: An option in the settings. When enabled, the AI can decide on its own to search the web when it doesn't know something. Increases thinking time. —————— Ask Aiko: An extra sub-panel button "Ask" is added to Aiko's display panel (toggleable in settings). Click it to expand a sub-panel. You can drag items into it, and Aiko will introduce the item as fully as possible by searching her own database and the web, including its uses, how to obtain it, and lore. Note: info comes from the internet and may be inaccurate. —————— Settings guide: Companion Mode: switch between Auto and LLM modes. Text Display Mode: the default panel can't fit Aiko's long lines; this setting chooses how to handle them. Panel Size: Default / Large / Larger. Determines the size of Aiko's dialogue panel. Memory Length: how much dialogue Aiko remembers; longer means more thinking time. Want to "date" Aiko? Crank it up. Aiko's God Mode: toggle this feature. Web Search: toggle this feature. Ask About This: toggle this feature. Mini Games: toggle this feature. Auto Chat: when enabled, Aiko speaks on her own every so often. Toggle here. Output Logs: for the author's debugging; off by default. Chat Interval: how often Aiko talks on her own. In LLM mode she can be chatty; lengthen this or disable Auto Chat to avoid interruptions. API Connection: configure the API used in LLM mode. Has privacy shielding; stored locally only. —————— Notes: This mod supports several other APIs, but all testing was done with the official DeepSeek v4 flash API; the web search feature currently only works with the official DeepSeek v4 flash API. Using flash models is recommended. The author has a Bilibili account; support is welcome. Future plans include extra bosses, enemies, weapons/armor and accessories. The mod is currently developed by one person, so there may be some issues here and there - please report them!

The dachshund now has a tendency to fly in a horizontal figure-eight pattern when it can. - The dachshund is now three times as long. - Fixed issues with body segments clipping into the chest and rear of the dachshund. It should look a lot better now.
