Jason's Terraria Guide — In Game Terraria 1.4.4 / tModLoader stable • Client-side • English / Français / 简体中文 I made this mod because I wanted to use Jason's guide without constantly leaving Terraria. It puts Jason's Terraria Guide v9.76 — FINAL 1.4.4 Version inside the game and adds a few tools that make the guide easier to use while playing. What is included - 190 guide pages covering class progression, Tank builds, strategies, FAQ and Jason's archives - Fast navigation between stages, items and original guide pages - Global search in English, French and Simplified Chinese - Obtained-item tracking - Pinned recipes with recursive material calculation - Item panel with vanilla stats, acquisition, crafting, uses and useful mechanics - Manual language modes: Auto / FR / EN / 中 Languages The interface and guide content are available in English, French and Simplified Chinese. Auto follows Terraria's language. If you force FR, EN or 中, the guide keeps that choice for the next time you open it and vanilla item names/tooltips follow the selected language while the guide is open. What the mod does not change This is a client-side reference/UI mod. It does not change world generation, balance, drops, vanilla recipes or combat mechanics. Why the guide is still 1.4.4 The version included here is Jason's FINAL 1.4.4 guide because the stable tModLoader branch is still based on Terraria 1.4.4. Each game tick, it will set the maximum life the player can have to 1 (forcing one heart). If the player's literal health value is above 1, it will also set that back down to 1 each tick. I doubt there is a mod that this won't work with, but if it doesn't, lmk. Made because for some reason Nycro's Nohit Efficiency Mod's 1 hitpoint doesn't work for debuffs like On Fire. So here I am, digging out this cool but forgotten mod and redesigning it with 2 intentions in mind: 1) to turn death from being a small nuisance into a significant threat, so that a player would be motivated to thoroughly plan their actions. 2) to give player full control of the situation, in order to prevent excessive stress and discomfort (or add more to it; tastes differ y'know :P) Main features: - Optional enhanced Mediumcore where, on death, your inventory is saved by a friendly ghost which also gets saved with the world. - Optional penalty system, which punishes player for character's death in several possible ways. - Various settings of processing your inventory after death in many ways: which items are to stay equipped or dropped, coin management, etc. - Availability for Classic, Journey & Mediumcore characters. * * * Fully compatible mods: - Neat Mediumcore - Any death visual mods like Sam's Cooler Death Screen - Basically, any mods aside from the ones that alter death logic Compatible but not supported (as of yet): - Mods that prevent death (such as Calamity's reviving mechanisms) - items will drop on first fake "death". - Mods that expand inventory / loadout slots - items held in those slots will behave in accordance with these mods' logic. - Some mods that add custom modifiers to items - penalty system might misdetect items with those; no issues other than that.
