Fashionist v4.5.8-legacy on your Conan Exiles server
With over 670,000 subscribers, Fashionist is one of the most popular cosmetic mods for Conan Exiles: mix and match armor, weapon, and warpaint styles, hide individual gear pieces (toggleable server-wide), and recolor everything with a full color picker, saddles included. The Fashionist Armor Stand stores complete outfits, and the Thrall Outfitters Bench transfers them onto your followers. Note for server admins: this is explicitly the Legacy build and will NOT work with the game's Enhanced mode — only install it if your server runs Legacy. Add the mod ID to your modlist, and make sure every player subscribes to the exact same version on Steam Workshop, or they won't connect. The author now only ships compatibility fixes after game updates, no new features.
Plan the rollout and operation
Fashionist fits role-play and community servers where appearance and character identity matter more than new combat stats. Decide whether players may hide equipment and who is allowed to manage thrall outfits before launch. Also test one saved outfit, a dyed saddle, and the character editor with your complete mod list. That exposes UI or asset conflicts before players spend hours building a particular look.
For a safe rollout, back up the world and server configuration, record the current modlist.txt including order, and start a copy on the exact same game version. Review the boot log for missing packages, then join with a client using the same Workshop list. A useful smoke test covers joining, spawning, one core mod feature, saving, restarting, and joining again. After major game updates, delay the live update until the mod and its dependencies are explicitly compatible. Change only one part of the list per test run; otherwise a crash cannot be traced to a specific entry. Before removal, use a world copy to check for stored items, buildings, thralls, or configuration owned by the mod. Remove its Workshop entry from production only after the save loads cleanly without those assets. This keeps rollback and diagnosis manageable.
