ImmediatelyFast: Speeding Up Immediate-Mode Rendering

ImmediatelyFast targets Minecraft's immediate-mode rendering — the way certain graphical elements get drawn directly rather than precomputed — and speeds it up. With over 101 million downloads, it has become a near-standard addition to performance-focused client setups. As the name suggests, this is purely client-side rendering work; it has no effect on server logic whatsoever.

That means it does nothing for your server and shouldn't be added to the mods folder. For customers who want a performance-tuned modpack, though, it's a solid addition to the recommended client installation list.

Pairing tip: ImmediatelyFast complements Sodium and Entity Culling nicely — all three target different parts of the rendering pipeline without stepping on each other's toes.

Plan the rollout and operation

ImmediatelyFast belongs in a client performance profile and should be checked especially around inventories, particles, text, and other interface elements. Compare frame rate and rendering in the same locations rather than relying on a general impression. If overlays flicker or disappear, test the combination with HUD and rendering mods. The server gains nothing from the file and needs neither a restart nor changed world settings for it.

For a clean rollout, create a separate client profile and record the Minecraft, loader, and mod versions. Start without other optional mods, join the server, and check menus, the resource pack, dimension travel, and the actual feature. Add rendering, interface, and convenience mods back one at a time afterward. Publish the tested combination as a recommendation, not a server promise, because hardware and local settings differ. After an update, compare logs and behaviour with a fresh profile before reusing old configuration files. Keep the mod out of the server directory while its project page explicitly classifies it as client-side. On failure, the world remains untouched: the affected player disables the local file or returns to the documented version. For support, request a screenshot of the active profile instance, latest.log, and a list of other graphics mods; these show whether the loader, driver, or an overlap is responsible instead of the server.
