Brita's Weapon Pack

Brita's Weapon Pack has been the reference firearms arsenal for Project Zomboid for years, adding dozens of extra guns and attachments. Current status: Build 42 disabled several workaround mechanics the mod relies on, and the author is fixing it with no firm timeline. On Build 41 servers it still runs reliably, typically paired with the separate Arsenal[26] GunFighter Mod, which handles fine-tuning through sandbox settings rather than Mod Options in multiplayer. One thing to check first: it's explicitly incompatible with Real Full Auto Mod and the Snakes mod, since both override the same code — running them together causes crashes. Add Workshop ID 2200148440 and Mod ID Brita to WorkshopItems=/Mods=, ideally with the matching GunFighter mod.

Tip: Test any update on a Build 41 staging server before rolling it out to your live one.

Plan the rollout and operation

Plan Brita's Weapon Pack as a fixed combination of game build, weapon pack, and matching GunFighter release. Define spawn rates and sandbox values before players collect rare weapons, then test reloading, attachments, and a restart. Do not install known code conflicts alongside it. Moving to Build 42 requires a test world; unresolved compatibility should not be explored on the live save.

Before changes, back up the save, sandbox configuration, and server INI, and record the Workshop ID, mod ID, game branch, and order. Both lists must contain the same projects in dependency order; a Workshop download alone does not enable the mod. Start a world copy, connect at least two clients, and test the core feature, persistence, death or reconnecting, and a full restart. Review console.txt and the server log for missing files or Lua errors. After Workshop updates, update dependencies together and retain the last working combination. Before removal, clean up additional items, vehicles, clothing, or slots on a copy. When moving between Build 41 and 42, verify every mod individually; a similar name is not proof of compatibility. This protects the live save from incomplete downloads and branch conflicts.
