The Advanced flashlight texture for Insurgency is now here at your disposal. The Advanced falshlight is really just a retexture of the original flashlight texture in higher resolution. It features sharp LED lights, three to be exact with some radial colour diffuse in the center. This infact was originally from my game that I was working on for a good 2-3 years when I decided to ditch it, I wanted this texture to see the light of day though so here it is. I started this one intending to make an Imouto-like gun, but forgot to add "Onii-chan" to anything, so that's a bit of a shame. Another time for sure. For some reason, the bolt-back (first bolt sound) and the empty sound are really quiet in the video, but I can hear them fine in game. I assure you, they are there and they are lewd. Feel free to give feedback and even request guns to audiomod (types would be nice, more detail makes it easier to figure out what I need to do on it.) If you have a problem with this mod or any of my other mods (unless it violates the terms I accepted) deal with it. Don't post if you aren't interested. I will make what I will make. Serious feedback is always welcome.

I've been lovingly crafting this sound mod for over two years, researching real life weapon sounds, sourcing and mixing countless sound samples from other games and all over the internet, including actual videos to form the culmination of a quintessential firefight experience. I have been trying to attain the most accurate to real life and 'immersive' sound mod for Insurgency and I have finally decided that the quality is enough to be released for you guys! That is why I decided to make my own mod, with a full range of frequencies from the low bass of the muzzle blast to the high pitched echo of the shot reverb. A very important aspect of the sound realism I worked on was the reverb of the shots. But because of the limitations of Insurgency, I could not make separate reverb sounds for indoor and outdoor so I tried to make the sounds to be believable as possible for the majority of the environments in the game. Studying the sound characteristics of every weapon in the game, I tried to emulate their unique sound qualities. Interestingly, this ended up with each weapon 'family' having their own distinctive feel. For example, the AK's (AK47, AK74, AK74U) each have their own individual sounds but as a whole have certain sound attributes that differentiate them from the AR's (M16, M4A1, MK18). What I am most proud of however, is my suppressed weapon sounds. I am fairly confident in saying that I have not found suppressor sounds as realistic as mine in any of the other games I have played before. Yes they are very loud. In fact, they are pretty much as loud as the unsuppressed sounds. What they are actually capable of is the ability to mask the distinctive sound profiles of the individual firearms as well as make it hard to pinpoint the location of the shots just like in real life. Though it may sound obvious, what I have discovered during the development of this mod is that real guns are very loud. In the search for ultimate realism, I ended up sacrificing some of the comfort of the users due to how loud and harsh some of the sounds are. Gee, who would've thought realistic gun sounds are loud...I now understand why basically all games take a lot of artistic liberties in their guns sounds instead of trying to make them as realistic as possible like we always complain about. Don't get me wrong, the mod really does gets my heart pumping, but I actually can't play using this mod for extended periods of time due to how loud it is! So be careful with your hearing guys!
