Reupload of Wyley the Astronaut. All credists go to original mod authors. Author allowed to continue this mod, so I decided to fix some bugs and reupload it. Changes: - Added permanent goggles vision effect (protects from sand and moon storms); - Blended food spoil time is now 2 days instead of 6 days; - Is immune to Hay Fever and max health reduction from rat bites if Uncompromising Mode is installed. Fixes: - Fixied a bug that causes armor to get destroyed when Wyley crafts it; - Wyley now can pick up armor (but not wear it); - Wyley can now use shields from {Shields} 2.0 mod; - Added more information to select screen. Original mod description: Disclaimer I haven;t really looked at this character in years and I'm done working on it. I wouldn't even know how if I tried. Anyone feel free to take this character and republish with any changes you'd like to make to it. Adds Wyley the American astronaut from outer space. -Stats- 150 health 130 hunger 200 sanity -Starting inventory- Blender, lets you blend food. Also craftable (only by Wyley) under the food tab for 1 gear, 1 electrical doodad, and 3 flint. Tiny rocketship trinket. -Pros- Space suit makes Wyley resistant to extreme temperatures. Can't go below 25 degrees or above 35 degrees (uses game units where 30 degrees is room temp). Suit also keeps Wyley dry. The suit can get wet so Wyley can still drop slippery tools, but being wet or having wet items doesn't drain sanity. Suit gives Wyley a static 50% damage reduction. Please keep in mind that a log suit having 80% damage reduction makes it twice as good as a grass suit with 60% damage reduction, and that the astronaut suit is less protecting than a grass suit. The suit also protects Wyley from small things such as cacti, spiky bushes, underground falling earthquake rocks, etc. These are things that damage you and force the knock back animation, but aren't actually attacking you like enemies. Wyley does take damage from meteors. (I think). -Cons- Space suit prevents Wyley from being able to wear armor (including football helmets) or any type of torso clothing, such as a breezy vest. (just keep this in mind if you think Wyley's overpowered early game, he might be, but this makes fighting bosses a real pain). Wyley can still wear hats and backpacks. Can only eat blended food. Blended food has the exact same stats as before you blended it, but if you blend two different food items, they get combined into the same stack. This equals out the food stats, for example, if you blend a mandrake (60 health, 75 hunger) then blend a cooked morsel (1 health, 12.5 hunger) than you will have two items in the same stack, each with averaged out stats (in this case, 30.5 health, 43.75 hunger). This means eating the entire stack is equivalent to just eating each item individually. Also, if you lose your blender and you don't have gears, you're basically doomed. Inspired by the woodie rework in Rezecib's Rebalance, many changes have been made to woodie to make his werebeaver form fun and useful. Massive credit to Rezecib for the patch function. Changes compared to DST vanilla Woodie: -Damage is taken by your log meter first in Werebeaver form, as if you had log armor equipped (just like singleplayer) -Werebeaver does tentacle spike damage (again, just like singleplayer) -Werebeaver has excellent heat/cold protection and immunity to wetness. -Werebeaver doesn't drain extra sanity (you still lose it from dusk and night) -Werebeaver loses (instead of gains) 1 from his log meter while gnawing. -Cut grass causes Woodie to lose 5 from his log meter. -Werebeaver is more effective at chopping, mining, digging, and hammering. (Same as tools with the exception of chopping) -Woodie does not passively lose log meter, but Werebeaver has drain similar to normal player hunger drain (loses 50 log meter per day) -Werebeaver can eat veggies (Allows you to heal easier in werebeaver form or with an ally restore your sanity without shifting back) -Werebeaver can plant pinecones, acorns, and twiggy tree saplings The goal of these changes is to make Werebeaver a viable combat and exploration form until you get dark armor/sword or ruins gear, but you always have to pay for things that lower your log meter and you now run the risk of being stuck in werebeaver form if you are far from any logs. On the other hand you can easily shift into werebeaver every night if you wanted to, and Woodie can eat grass to accelerate his transformations. Woodie can and needs to farm wood to sustain werebeaver, and is only able to eat veggies to restore his health and sanity while in werebeaver. This means you'll either need to shift back or get help from allies to restore those stats.
