Weapon Ascension – Description & Guide Take your weapons to the next level with Weapon Ascension, a mod that transforms how you grow your arsenal in Terraria. Features • Ascend Your Weapons: Imbue your weapon with gems to increase damage progressively. Each ascension requires the gem for the current level and all previous gems, ensuring careful planning for every upgrade. Gem requirements are capped at 64 per type. • Two Ascension Paths: By default, ascensions use gems up to level 7 and weapon sacrifices from level 8 onward. Enable Gem-Only Mode in config to skip sacrifices entirely and use gems all the way to level 50. • Two Scaling Modes: Noob Mode grants +15% damage per gem ascension and +25% of sacrificed weapon's damage per sacrifice. Veteran Mode grants +12% damage per gem ascension and +15% of sacrificed weapon's damage per sacrifice. Switch anytime in the config. • Prefix Inheritance: Sacrificed weapons can transfer their prefixes to your weapon, but only if it improves the result — no accidental downgrades. • Strategic Growth: Plan your ascensions carefully! Each decision affects your weapon's final power. • Multiplayer Server Overrides: Server owners can force a scaling mode (Noob or Veteran) and enable Gem-Only Mode for all connected players through the server config. Open the Ascension UI: • Use the hotkey you set in the mod's configuration (default: . / OemPeriod) while your inventory is open. 2. Place Your Weapon: • Drag a weapon into the Main Slot. Only weapons with damage can be ascended. 3. Ascend Using Gems (All Levels in Gem-Only Mode, or Levels 1–7 in Default Mode): • Each level requires specific gems. For example: • 1st Ascension: 1 × Amethyst • 2nd Ascension: 2 × Amethyst + 1 × Topaz • 3rd Ascension: 4 × Amethyst + 2 × Topaz + 1 × Sapphire • …and so on, with requirements capped at 64 per gem type. • Click Ascend to apply the upgrade.
