Easy Farming
par 76561198074586345
You know your crop is ill by just a glance. And you know what illness it has. It doesn't require any farming perks higher than level 0. All you have to do is to walk to it, and click 'info'. If then, why not to make it easier? With this mod, you can see your crops' illness info by indicators. Requirement: any item that has "Gardening" display category Any seedings (packed/unpacked) How to use: 1. right click on your requirement 2. click "Easy Farming" 3. done Effect: With you as a center, any crops around you that has illness will emit indicator, showing what illness it has. This indicator will be shown for 5 seconds. It has a radius of 5 reach + the tile you are standing, resulting 11x11 area of effect. Indicators: Green ! - Insects ('Pest') Grey ! - Mildew ('Fungi') Blue ! - Not enough water ('Scarcity') Warning Sign - Devil's Water Fungi ('DWF') Reason of change in requirement: Sicne the former item filtering was using "Display Category" attribute, any recategorizing mods like Better Sorting (#2313387159) make the context menu inaccessible. I use that mod, so this makes my main save unable to use this mod. Therefore, I changed the requirement to seedings. I am relatively new to modding, so I am unsure if I can attach a custom context menu over cultivation tile. If I can, I will move it to there. Until then, please bear with me. Improvised Armour
par 76561198001779584
(Actually on further thought maybe this isn't a very good mod :/ ) (Some people think it's a good idea hmm I meant how I did it is quite knight-in-plate-armour) (Also the artwork looks a bit unrealistic) This adds making armour out of small steel sheets or steel food cans, and attaching chin straps to helmets to stop them from falling off, and also paper + duct tape forearm guards. This could be described as overpowered, and it lacks foot armour. This mod adds an "armor" section to the recipe menu. (For the Beta game version "Build 41" which can be opted into) "Spending most of the day making some zombie-proof invincible scale armour, are you sure that's exactly improvisation?" Yes it is if you're using steel food cans for it technically because you're improvising on what material to use. I reckon if you took a pair of scissors to a toaster you could make some forearm guards that would stop bites and scratches. Steel food cans seem strong enough too, and they are very light. If you want to wear something to protect you from zombies there are going to be some considerations. You will need things that are not noticeably damaged by teeth and nails and bone. On parts of your body that can fit in a zombie's mouth you can have something rigid so your aren't hurt and bruised by the jaw muscles. To stop zombies peeling the rigid material off by the edges you could cover it tightly in cloth or duct tape. You would want to avoid wearing something baggy or with parts that could be grabbed too firmly. The Project Zomboid lore says that there are some materials zombies can not bite through, those being what helmets are made of. To avoid the armour being noisy you could put something soft like cotton between the segments. You will want the armour to restrict your movement minimally, and be light, and not make you too hot. You could install ventilation. One concern would be the time it would take to make the armour when making it carefully to be protective and flexible. I made this mod where you can make arm guards out of paper and duct tape, though they can be broken, and limb armour out of steel food cans, and also armour made of small steel sheets though it's heavier, and also body armour though it takes a lot longer to make, and also chin straps to put on helmets to stop them falling off. Some problems or odd things: .When being attacked on the armour, the character's clothing under it can get damaged. .The armour has a lot of wind and water resistance, but still he seems not to overheat when wearing it, so maybe sweating still works when wearing clothing like that. .Although I've not tested it, the thing where the person gets surrounded and shouts and falls over and gets up as a zombie probably still happens. .This mod does not have any foot armour. .You can't make a piece of body armour out of multiple materials, or wear it when it's partly made. Perhaps this could be redone in such a way that this is possible. .Though this adds armour made of A and B and partly of C, it does not add any of D or E. . How the artwork looks. Vanilla Fishing Fix
par 76561199116881450
Vanilla Fishing Fix — Build 42.20 Stable A vanilla-friendly fishing overhaul that makes every cast, fish and piece of equipment matter. Vanilla Fishing Fix rebuilds fishing balance without adding mandatory items or replacing the vanilla capture minigame. Fish become useful food, casting becomes skill-based, bait attracts different species, equipment has meaningful strengths and every catch can become part of your personal record—or a server-wide fishing tournament. Weight-Based Nutrition - Calories, protein and fat are calculated from the fish's real weight and species profile. - Small fish are common but modest meals; large fish can provide roughly 900–1800 kcal before Sandbox bonuses. - Fish fillets correctly divide and preserve the nutrition of the original fish. - Food bait is consumed in 5-hunger portions instead of deleting an entire fillet or piece of meat. - Sandbox calorie bonuses range from 0% to 400%. Skill-Based Casting Before the vanilla capture minigame begins, a separate blue-and-yellow distance meter controls your cast from approximately 1 to 16 tiles. - Fishing skill progressively slows the moving cursor. - Higher skill slightly widens the precision zone. - Higher skill reduces the maximum deviation of a failed cast. - Immediate results: Perfect, Great, Good, Poor or Miss. - The original vanilla fish-tension minigame remains intact after casting. More Dynamic Fishing - Species-specific behaviour: carp are calmer, trout escape more often, catfish strain the line and pike are aggressive. - Escapes, line breaks, very rare rod failures, exceptional catches and double catches. - Expanded junk catches and very rare treasure made from vanilla items. - Hidden rich fishing areas improve catches but become temporarily depleted with use. - Rod wear scales with fish weight instead of applying the same damage to every catch. - Fishing XP is awarded in stages: bite, control and successful capture, with a bonus for exceptional fish. Bait, Equipment and Conditions Bait choice and freshness now influence what you attract. Insects favour smaller fish, fresh fish bait attracts predators and meat is especially effective for catfish. Stale bait discourages demanding species, while rotten bait attracts scavengers and more junk. Hooks, line strength, line condition, rod type and rod condition all matter. Dawn and dusk are the best periods, weather has a stronger effect, and long fishing sessions gradually cause fatigue until the character rests. During the baiting animation, the character visibly holds the rod in one hand and the selected insect, food or lure in the other. Fish Quality and Named Rare Variants Every fish can receive an invisible quality grade: Normal, Good, Excellent or Legendary. Quality affects weight, nutrition, happiness and stored value, and is recorded in the fishing journal. Very rarely, a catch receives a named variant: - Albino — Excellent quality. - Mutated — Excellent quality with increased nutrition. - Gigantic — much greater weight and length with Legendary quality. - Scarred — Good quality. - Diseased — reduced nutrition, unhappiness and slight toxicity. A dedicated purple catch card immediately announces these fish. The variants use the normal vanilla fish model and are distinguished by their name, journal data, quality and gameplay effects; they do not have separate textures or 3D models. Fishing Journal and Personal Records Equip a fishing rod to reveal a movable, background-free journal button. Its position persists between sessions and the journal can also be opened from the context menu of a rod or caught fish. - Total fish, total weight, discovered species and time spent fishing. - Last catch with clean species name, quality, size and weight. - History of the latest 50 catches. - Personal best fish and records for each species. - A gold notification whenever you set a new personal record in SP or MP. Multiplayer Fishing Tournament In multiplayer, the journal becomes a persistent server-wide tournament. Registered characters remain on the leaderboard even while offline. - Gold, silver and bronze badges for the top three anglers. - Ranking by biggest fish, followed by total weight and number of catches. - Personal and server records shown for every species. - A record-gap message tells you exactly how close you are to the server best. - When somebody breaks a species record, every connected player receives a global announcement with the angler, fish and weight. The tournament panel is only shown in multiplayer and does not create seasons or automatic resets. Compatibility and Sandbox Control Fish registered dynamically by other Build 42 mods automatically receive weight-based nutrition, inferred behaviour, quality, events, XP and journal support. Dedicated integration is included for Yumi's Fishing Expansion (Workshop ID: 3700643615), including its multiplayer server handoff. The systems can be enabled, disabled or adjusted independently through Sandbox > Vanilla Fishing Fix, including nutrition, calorie bonuses, casting, events, line and rod breaks, junk, treasure, fish schools, quality, rare variants, staged XP, fatigue, equipment effects, statistics and automatic compatibility. Additional Improvements - Reliable local playback for vanilla casting, splash, reeling, baiting and line-break sounds. - Readable top-layer notification cards that no longer hide behind the fishing interface. - English and Spanish translations. - Single-player and multiplayer support. - No mandatory item dependency; vanilla items are used for junk and treasure. Juts Apocalyptic professions
par 76561198119114852
Juts Apocalyptic Professions (Build 42.13) A 10-years-later reimagining of professions for Project Zomboid. This mod redesigns vanilla professions and adds new apocalypse-themed roles that actually make sense in a collapsed world. No modern-day job fantasy — only survivors shaped by a decade of scarcity, violence, and rebuilding. What This Mod Does Renames and rewrites vanilla professions with a post-apocalyptic identity Adds new survivor-focused roles (caravan guards, scavengers, fortifiers, herbalists, etc.) Provides thematic starting equipment per profession Keeps loadouts grounded and balanced Compatible with Single Player, Host MP, and Dedicated Server (B42.13) Design Philosophy This is not a power boost mod. Starting equipment is: Minimal but logical Role-consistent Balanced for long-term survival No overpowered kits If a profession is combat-oriented, it may start with a basic melee weapon. If it's a craft or service role, expect simple tools or resources. Everything else must be earned. Thematic Direction Ten years after the Knox Event, professions are no longer “jobs.” They are survival roles. Every profession tells a story. Technical Notes: Equipment is applied only when creating a new character Does not modify core gameplay systems Safe for MP environments Designed for immersion-focused, hardcore, or RP servers Workshop ID: 3631776985 Mod ID: jutsApocProfessions
The Fog [B42] [Alpha]
par 76561198038726337
About this Mod The world is entombed in a thick, unnatural fog that never lifts. visibility drops to almost nothing. This is an early Alpha release!. the fog, wildlife, and survival-pressure systems below are playable now. Expect rough edges and ongoing balance changes. I need feedback!! If anyone wants to be a play tester for the mod please feel free to reach out. How to Play During development i have tailored the gameplay as best i can to some specific sandbox settings. Some i have hard coded into the mod to be forced but some i have left open for the players to select. I would Highly recommend you set the following. In the early game, make sure you right click rags to craft a bandana for the lowest level of protection. the mod is intended to be a bit of a challenge but not too overly difficult its not fun. I am currently working on the default settings to get the "out of the box" sandbox settings just right. Sandbox Settings - Zombie Toughness - Tough - Zombie Count - Low - Zombie Sight, Hearing & Memory - unless turned off in the fog sandbox settings these will be forced onto the lowerst settings Key Features - Permanent Fog - locked to maximum intensity year-round, regardless of season or weather. - Undead Wildlife - every animal in this world is already dead. 38+ custom hostile "skeleton animal" species (cows, rats, deer, sheep, and more) replace all living vanilla wildlife, individually balanced by size. a rat dies in a hit or two, a bull is a genuine fight. - Zombie Sight & Hearing - on a new game, Zombie Lore Sight/Hearing are forced to Poor and Memory to Short automatically, low population but individually tougher. - No Minimap, Ever - forced off regardless of sandbox settings. - A Blank World Map - the map opens, tracks your position, and still supports vanilla's own pen/note tools, but never auto-reveals terrain. Two new hand-drawing tools (freehand pen, click-drag lines) let you map the fog yourself. - The Fog Spawn - a merged spawn-location option pooling every vanilla town's spawn points into one "recommended" choice, used to give the random start more meaning. - Fog Exposure Sickness - prolonged time outdoors unprotected gradually builds sickness (a mild fever, never fatal). A quick dash between buildings is safe; loitering isn't. Real vanilla masks all count as protection, scaled by how good they actually are, a gas mask with a working filter is a full hard counter. Work In Progress The mod is in heavy development right now. specifically a lot of work is going into the undead animals part of the mod. its taking a lot of playtesting to try and get it right. so feedback on that would be great. Requirements None -- this mod has no dependencies. Workshop ID: 3771665235 Mod ID: TheFogMod Note: I am currently learning to code in Lua. Some aspects of this mod have been assisted with AI tools to help me in that process. All the code is tested, and reviewed and maintained by me. I make these mods because I love this game and want to create fun things for the community. If you have feedback or find an issue, I'd really appreciate hearing it. Please be kind and constructive.
Better Canteens
par 76561198142487401
Improves on the vanilla canteens by making them collect rainwater when placed outside during rain, also lets you use the GI style canteens to boil the water and clean it (not the western or clay) I originally thought of these canteens as the plastic variants that exist IRL however in the item script it has the tag "HasMetal" which led me to believe it makes sense to think of them as the stainless steel variant. The third change is the fluid capacity, instead of 500ml's it is now what it is in real life, 950ml's or 1 Quart. Workshop ID: 3457808661 Mod ID: salvobettercanteens

Expanded Moodles
par 76561198856518799
Build Support: B42.12 to B42.20 SP/MP Expanded Moodles makes vanilla moodles and body conditions matter more. It does not add new moodles by itself. Instead, it expands the consequences of existing vanilla moodles and character states, making them feel more dangerous, interconnected and survival-focused. Ignore problems for too long and they can start stacking up: stress, sickness, wetness, fatigue, wounds and overloaded movement can all become more serious than in vanilla. This mod is the moodles-focused part of PepperCat’s older Dynamic Traits and Expanded Moodles mod. The original gameplay idea has been preserved, while the internal structure has been updated for recent Build 42 versions, with improved compatibility and multiplayer handling. Useful links - Detailed Effects Guide - full breakdown of effect values, check intervals, chances and trait modifiers. - FAQ, Questions and Bug Reports - report bugs, compatibility issues or balance feedback. Main Effects General moodle interactions - Being drunk can increase the player’s anger. - Being angry can increase stress and unhappiness. - Being panicked or stressed can increase wetness. Extreme tiredness - Staying extremely tired for too long can eventually make the player pass out. - The effect depends on the player’s condition. - The player must remain still for a short time before passing out. Heavy Load - Being at Heavy Load level 4 adds a rare chance of getting a fracture. - The risk is affected by traits such as Weak, Feeble, Stout and Strong. - Movement also affects the risk: running or sprinting while heavily overloaded is more dangerous. Wetness and colds - Being wet adds an extra chance of catching a cold, on top of vanilla behavior. - The longer the character remains wet, the higher the accumulated risk becomes. - This does not replace vanilla cold recovery behavior. Having a cold - A cold can now have extra effects depending on its moodle level. - Possible effects include headache, fatigue increase, endurance loss and Food Sickness. - Severe cases can become dangerous if ignored. - Traits such as Slow Healer, Fast Healer, Weak Stomach, Iron Gut, Prone to Illness and Resilient can affect the outcome. Wounds and sickness - Wounds can increase stress even when they are not infected. - Infected wounds can increase Food Sickness and may become dangerous if ignored. - A clean, non-infected scratch should not directly cause Food Sickness from this mod. - More severe wounds and longer wound timers are more dangerous. - Keeping wounds clean and treated is much more important. - Traits such as Thin Skinned, Thick Skinned, Prone to Illness and Resilient can affect the risk. Compatibility Notes - Updated for Project Zomboid Build 42.12 to 42.20. - B42.20 compatibility has been reviewed against the latest vanilla files. - Priority support is focused on the latest tested Build 42 version. - The mod has been restructured for Build 42 with shared, client and server logic. - Most gameplay effects are handled server-side in MP to reduce desync issues. - Some player-local effects, such as pass-out and fade behavior, are still handled client-side. Known Notes - This mod affects body damage, Food Sickness, fatigue, stress, wetness and moodle-related systems. - Testing on an existing save backup is recommended before using it on a live server. - MP Host has been tested more than dedicated server setups, so dedicated server reports are especially useful. - For exact values and internal effect details, check the Detailed Effects Guide.
