A washing machine cleans rags, denim strips and leather strips, the same way it cleans clothes. The game already knows these can be washed. A dirty rag says so itself, and says what it becomes - washing by hand at a sink has always worked. The machine's cycle just never looked. This mod makes the machine agree. Nothing else. No new items, no recipes, no settings, one small file. It works off the item's own "cleans into" property rather than a list of ids, so a rag another mod marks the same way is washed too, without this mod knowing it exists. Works in singleplayer and multiplayer. The swap happens where the drum actually lives, so the rags come out clean for everyone at the machine, and a load that finishes while nobody is home still counts. 0.1.1 The game turns out to have three machines that wash - the regular washer, the washer-dryer combo, and the stacked tower. This mod only knew the regular one. Now it knows all three: the combo counts only its wash mode, drying cleans nothing, and the tower gets its washer drum rather than the dryer's. Found by Aragon within hours, on the machine in his own home. Server-side fix - admins update the mod and restart, players need nothing. It fixes the Clean Room / Do Cleaning tile picker so your character cleans the nearest reachable dirty or bloody tile instead of wandering to whichever reachable tile happened to be scanned last. What was wrong? Lifestyle's cleaning helper compares each dirty tile's distance to a variable called lowestdist. The original logic selected a closer tile, but never updated lowestdist. That means every reachable candidate kept replacing the previous choice, so the final target was effectively the last reachable dirty tile in the scan order. What this patch changes This patch overrides only LSUtil.srqGetClosest after Lifestyle loads. if dist < lowestdist then lowestdist = dist distchoice = square end That one missing assignment makes the picker keep the closest reachable square. Why use it? - Less weird walking during Clean Room / Do Cleaning. - Cleaning proceeds from nearby messes first. - No balance changes, no item changes, no recipe changes. - Small local Lua override only.
