This mod was inspired by a simple observation while playing Project Zomboid. I not have thousands of hours in the game, but one thing stood out to me: Louisville feels underserved when it comes to military presence and access points. Currently, there is only one main entrance to Louisville I which feels somewhat weak for such a massive city. In a real zombie apocalypse, there would likely be multiple checkpoints, quarantine zones, and evacuation outposts scattered around. I also noticed that several outposts already exist on the vanilla map, but they are often unused or irrelevant. That felt like a missed opportunity. **Better Outpost** introduces a new custom map area designed to address this issue. It adds an additional military-style outpost near Louisville, creating another way to access the city while adding a stronger sense of realism. I'm aware that some in the community prefer Project Zomboid to be as punishing as possible, and this extra access point might make things a little easier. This adds three buttons to the bandit creator screen that allows for Randomly generated clans, choose between the melee, ranged, and mixed clan generation! Each clan will have a boss with better stats and items (including more armor pieces on a RNG roll, and more ammo). Clans will spawn with a random amount of members, but i have it leaning more toward the high side so if you want less of them, either restrict the amount via sandbox settings for the creator mod or by deleting the ones you don't want. Now has better measures to avoid attachment slot or item errors from a variety of mods, huzah! NOTE: Don't freakout if it takes a few seconds or so to generate the clans, it's doing a lot of math and thinking and making sure the bandits make sense and aren't equipped with buggy items, it will unfreeze and generate it just be patient. by default all clans have 10 percent spawn chance with chance to spawn anywhere. This mod needs to load after bandit and bandit creator and needs both! I tested this will the workshop version of bandit creator and bandit mod (not my heavily modified, arguably better versions of them) so hopefully you don't run across any errors.
