Answers for FAQs - Mod is developed for Singleplayer and is very briefly tested for Multiplayer. - This mod works as intended as of 42.20. - There may be some little bugs here and there. But the mod works! If it doesn't work entirely, you either have a mod conflict or you're doing something wrong. Features - Highly customizable experience through Sandbox Options! - Adds periods of darkness in Knox County that could go on for days! - Adds thick fog during the darkness. - Adds ambient sirens and spooked crows that go off to warn of an imminent Darkness Event in handpicked locations in the map! - Zombies slowly become sprinters when the darkness falls. - Use the dedicated radio station (99.8) to get warnings and lore about the darkness. - Adds snow (snow melts and doesn't stay), similar to Silent Hill 1's otherworld. - The world transforms during the darkness. Trash, blood, grime, overgrowth. You might have to walk some distance away and then walk back if trash and blood is not cleaned up at event end. This is usually needed if you reloaded a save. - Light sources are very important. Staying in the darkness without any light source (indoors or outdoors) will increase your stress and damage your health, and can even kill you. This gives the player a reason to maintain a light source even in their base. - Wake up everyone, with added stress, when sleeping if sirens go off while sleeping. - Improved hazardous darkness - Vehicle Malfunctions during darkness - Hazardous Fog AI Disclosure I am not a huge fan of AI but it is the reality, and it saves time if used well (not like 90% of the content on the workshop lately). I have to use it for my professional career and it comes in handy sometimes. !!!AI was not used to write this mod!!! AI was used for code reviews and figuring out obscure bugs by having it analyze the decompiled spaghetti code of Project Zomboid. I also used AI for the radio broadcasts! I suck at creative writing. I was always into math and science, not much into literature. I have a thread about the radio broadcasts and I would love if some creative mind/s would collaborate and create broadcasts that actually fit the lore of the mod and game. I COULD do it myself but it will take me a lot of time and thinking, and frankly they won't be good. I can also spend the time working on other projects. Sorry about this. I understand some of the lines seem a bit cringe and look and sound very AI generated. This is being taken care of by Loksus who decided to spend their free time to help remake the lore and broadcasts. Lore "The Darkness Is Coming!" became a popular cry for help, with whoever is still alive to experience this supernatural event. Parts of the world started experiencing periods of total darkness. Black clouds would cover the skies. Clouds thick enough that they completely block out the sun! The air would turn foul. An unexplained, and sometimes hazardous, thick fog would also set in. Scientists started recommending the use of gas masks to stop this anomalous atmospheric matter from invading human bodies. But unfortunately they couldn't find any scientific reasoning behind these events, leading everyone to believe that this event is of a supernatural nature. They did come up with a warning system that could detect traces of this anomalous matter. Authorities set up a number of sensor and sirens to warn everyone about this hazardous phenomenon. A year later, the Knox Event happened. These are truly the end times. Access to the Automated Emergency Broadcast System became essential to survival. Changes the weight of the Sheet & Sheet Rope from 0.8 to 0.2 which is a 75% reduction. When you shred a sheet you get 4 pieces of cloth that weigh 0.05 each x 4 makes 0.2 when you turn a sheet into a sheet rope it only takes 1 and they both weigh 0.8 so now they both weigh 0.2 Works well with "Fuss's Log Hauling" if you like to make log walls without unstacking your logs & "Common Sense" mod that allows you to convert ripped sheets back into sheets to turn into sheet ropes to make those log stacks.
