This is useful for me because I use the bound journal and once read, don't need them anymore, so I use it as fuel, but also for the survival mod, where you can make papier mache with sheets of paper. The number of sheets given is depending on the vanilla number of pages for a book, depending on its level. Also includes the blacksmith profession just in case. And also my first time learning LUA! --- ✅ Features: - Parts System🧩 Every weapon is composed of internal parts (barrel, stock, trigger, etc.). Each part has its own condition. - Degradation System📉 Weapons wear down realistically: different parts degrade depending on use. - Disassembly / Reassembly🪛 Weapons can be dismantled into parts and later reassembled. This allows salvaging and repairing pieces individually. - Dismantling🔨Parts or Guns can be dismantled for Scraps. - Repair🛠️ Parts(Individual, or in guns) can be Repaired with the use of Metal Scraps & Screwdrivers. Kits give boost and benefits! BEWARE! There is a chance to fail. - Cleaning🛀 Parts can be Cleaned with cloth(Rags/Dishtowel), and fluid(Alcohol/water bottle). Kits give benefits! BEWARE! There is a chance to fail. Also, there is a cap(Initial around 50%) - Replace(Only in Guns)🔧 Parts can be replaced with individual parts in your inventory. Needs Screwdriver. Knoxbound: Survivors Kentucky is already full of people making terrible decisions. Knoxbound adds a few living ones who can make those decisions with you. This is my survivor mod for Build 42. Survivors are scattered around the world doing their own thing, so you have to actually go outside and find them. Recruit the ones you like, give them gear, tell them what to do, and try not to become emotionally attached five minutes before they make a questionable life choice. What they can do • Live independently until you recruit them • Follow, stay, guard, patrol, return to base, and follow other commands • Fight with melee weapons and guns • Ride in vehicles with you • Use food, water, medicine, bandages, and other survival supplies • Wear clothing and equipment you assign to them • Work inside assigned areas by chopping trees, farming, foraging, hunting, cleaning up corpses, and handling other base jobs • Store harvested supplies in suitable containers at their assigned base • Keep their identity, appearance, inventory, health, equipment, bravery, and orders when you save and reload You can recruit companions, inspect their health, manage their inventory, choose their equipment, set up bases and work areas, assign jobs, and change several behavior settings in the mod options. Developer spawning tools are hidden by default so regular games do not look like an NPC dealership. This is still a beta The survivors are much smarter than they used to be, but they are not tactical masterminds. They may occasionally get stuck, make a stupid decision, or perform an animation that suggests the apocalypse finally broke their brain. Back up any save you care about before enabling or updating the mod. This mod is built and tested for Build 42.20 in single-player. Multiplayer has not been tested, so entering a server with it is currently an experiment conducted entirely at your own risk. Do not enable Knoxbound alongside another survivor or NPC framework. Multiple NPC mods trying to control the same game systems is less "best of both worlds" and more "three raccoons fighting over one steering wheel." AI disclaimer I used AI to help me learn, troubleshoot, research, and write parts of this mod. I know some people dislike that, but I hope you give the mod a fair try before immediately launching me into the sun. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time testing it, breaking it, fixing it, and then discovering exciting new ways to break it again. This was built with love for the Project Zomboid community. I just wanted to contribute something people might enjoy, and I plan to keep improving it. Use and permissions You are welcome to play the mod, stream it, record videos, and share the Workshop page.
