A sequel to my first mod, CDDA: Louisville. Has 2 modules: Challenge mode, and Non-Challenge mode. The Challenge mode is just like the vanilla CDDA mode, but you get a screen to select your spawn location. This works with any mods that add additional spawn locations and maps. Confirmed to work with Raven Creek and the Louisville spawn maps. The Non-Challenge mode is NOT in the challenge section. Instead, it applies the fire start and groin injury to ALL new games started with this mod enabled. This module is intended for those who want to manually choose their own sandbox settings or multiplayer. NotAlone - NPC Mod [Build 42 Standalone Conversion]

This is a standalone conversion of the original "NotAlone - NPC Mod" made by tomura for the new, stable version of Project Zomboid (build 42). Since he gave permission to upload any modified versions of his mod I am posting it now, but I want to state it clear that this conversion only modifies the NotAlone mod to the newest versions of the game and it wouldn't be possible to make without the original, so thanks tomura. Link to the original mod (with description how it works, NOT REQUIRED to download): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3720923377 Note: I highly recommend trying this conversion on a new save. I tested it for 2 days and it shouldn't had any gamebreaking bugs, but it's still early release and I can't guarantee it will work perfectly. It's also SINGLEPLAYER ONLY. IMPORTANT!!!: Due to changes in code with the build 42, this mod requires you to place one file manually in your Project Zomboid's steam folder. Unfortunately it's not possible to automate it. Without it all NPCs in the mod will be invisible and will probably also crash your game. Here is what to do, step by step: 1. After hitting "subscribe" and downloading this mod, locate the mod's folder. It should be located here on your PC: \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\. 2. Inside this folder go to \mods\Tom_NPC_NotAlone\JavaPatch. 3. Copy the "zombie" folder. 4. Go to your Project Zomboid's steam folder: Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid 5. Paste this "zombie" folder directly here. Do NOT post it inside some subfolder like "media". Paste it directly inside your "ProjectZomboid" folder, where your ProjectZomboid64.exe is located too. Why is it necessary? In short: I had to create the new IsoSurvivor class for this mod to work, and Project Zomboid can only load it when it's inside it's core files. More details are in mod's INSTALLATION.txt file. Adnotation: If you will ever verify your PZ files on Steam or there will be another hotfix update, there is a possibility that the "zombie" folder will be deleted and you will have to repeat this manual process again for this mod. List of known issues: 1. NPC is stuck inside a car. Solution: Approach the car's door next to which the NPC is sitting and try to enter it by pressing "e". Or you can just walk away, the NPC should eventually teleport to you. 2. NPC became invisible. Solution: Yeah it can unfortunately happen especially with older PCs due to VRAM problems. To fix that either send the NPC to your base and then recruit him to follow you again, or exit to menu and reload the save. You can also just ignore it if it doesn't bother you much, the NPC will still follow you, fight the zombies, give you it's occupation bonuses etc, just will be invisible. 3. Park Ranger foraging bonus doesn't work. Honestly I have no idea how to fix that, build 42 changed the foraging system and fixing that now would be quite a mess. Full transparency: I made this build 42 conversion with Claude Code's huge help. Update 1.4 log: Fixed a minor bug where NPCs weren't able to equip anything on their's back. Update 1.3 log: -Fixed a problem of medical diagnostics not working on NPCs. -Fixed (hopefully) a bug that caused NPCs to sometimes lose their clothings in heavily moded game. -Other minor fixes with NPCs inventory. This mod tweaks only the visual part of the vehicle mechanics UI. Removed (installable) vehicle parts are no longer blinking red — instead, they are rendered as solid black on the car overlay. This makes the panel calmer and easier to read. What it does Adjusts the vehicle mechanics window (ISVehicleMechanics) only in the overlay rendering. A removed part (has install but no inventory item) is drawn in black, with no blinking. Damaged but installed parts keep their vanilla color behavior. How it’s implemented The mod does not ship a full copy of ISVehicleMechanics.lua. On game boot, it safely overrides only ISVehicleMechanics:renderCarOverlay().
