On installing this mod you will immediately notice various changes take effect on vanilla dinos, some may be small tweaks, some may be complete overhauls, but all are done with the intention of improving the vanilla-ish gameplay experience. By and large base dino stats will not be effected unless specified. The aim is not to make OP dinos, but to make dinos that are either nicer to use, or are brought more in line with how they were described in the dossiers. The exception here is that there is full compatibility with my own Additional Aberrant Dinos mod and some compatibilities with mods whose authors I work closely with such as No Untameables by Myrmecoleon and Paleo Ark Expansion by UpFromTheDepths. There is however an .Ini option available that can cause BD buffs to be placed on certain other modded dinos provided certain criteria are met. See the Guide for further information. [h1]Will this mod revert the flyer nerf?[/h1] Remember when it said here that it won't? Well now it will! This is optional, you must use the [b]AllowFlyerSpeed=True[/b] Ini option. This goes in the GameUserSettings.Ini and must be placed underneath the [b][BetterDinos][/b] header. This will then grant you the ability to manually convert Wyverns, Argents, Pteranodons, Moths, Griffins, Tapejaras, and Pelagornis' into versions that are able to be levelled in Speed, simply go into the Options section of the flyer radial menu and select 'Convert To Speed ...' All converted speed enabled Flyers will gain 2% speed per level, and will gain up to 20% speed from imprinting. Converted Speed Flyers are unique classes to the BD mod, and therefore if removing the mod they will be lost, however you will have the ability to convert them back to Vanilla/Better at any time. Doing so will see any points put into speed refunded. Setting the AllowFlyerSpeed option to False after already having it set to True will see all converted Speed Flyers automatically converted back to Vanilla/Better and points spent into speed refunded. It will never truly be complete as Ark is constantly evolving, so will this mod. Is stackable and Ark "version proof" - Will work after an update. May take several days for new items to be added after a release. New items can not be added til devkit is updated. [h1][b]!!!!!ATTENTION!!!!![/B][/H1] [B]THIS MOD CAN NOT BE USED WITH BETTER BEACONS LITE! THEY BOTH REMAP THE SAME FILES SO WHICHEVER ONE IS CALLED FIRST IN YOUR .INI IS THE ONE THE GAME WILL USE.[/b] It can be used with Better Beacons Building Loot but not Lite! [h1][b]What it Does:[/b][/h1] Makes beacons worth going for again! Remember the first time you opened a white/rainbow crate and were like cool! Stuff I don't have unlocked yet! Then by the time you looted the first Blue crate you were highly disappointed? Be disappointed NO MORE! Better Beacons is here! Better loot! - Next tier items in almost every drop! IE: Level 35 items in a level 25 crate and so on. (No blueprints for next tier items). Higher tier armor at higher level drops - Primitive Flak at Purple, Ramshackle yellow, etc.. White/Rainbow & Green drops have not had much changed yet. X-bow replaces Bow at Green and Bow is in White/Rainbow with a couple arrows. Wood changed to stone, Thatch changed to wood. Primitive to Ascendant saddles & Blueprints at all drops. Better quality tools at higher level drops. IE: Level 1-2 Pick at Blue, 2-4 at Purple, 4-8 at Yellow & 8-10 at Red drop. CAVE LOOT! Adjusted all 4 cave tiers to be considerably better items (Armor, real weapons, good saddles & more) as well as better quantities. You may still only get 1 item but they can drop multiples. All crates have the chance to "transform" into a "mod" crate on landing. IE: They can contain items from any and all mods you have installed. Level 80 crate added. Contains all items available after level 80 [h1][b]What it doesn't do:[/b][/h1] (as far as I know, that's why comments are appreciated :) Give you 2 blueprints for the same item Give you 2 of the same item (except stackables like ammo) Give you Level 25 items in a 35, 45 or level 60 crate. You can learn the engram at level 10. -------------------- *Dino Pick Up* is an item which lets you pick up pretty much any dino. With this you can easily pick up your favorite dino on your shoulder and go exploring by foot for a change or ride with another creature while still carrying the other dino on your shoulder. Why limit yourself with useless Jerboas and Monkeys when you might as well take a Rex or a Raptor as your "parrot". -------------------- [h1][B]How to use:[/b][/h1] Simply craft the *Dino Pick Up* and remote use it in your creature's inventory. Then select "Pick Up" from the dino's radial menu. Dinos with built structures on their platforms can't be picked up. To throw the dino off from your shoulder you must double tap the "F" key or the "Reload" key (default "R") if you are riding another dino. Some people ask why I created this mod when there are some other death helper type mods out there. I couldn't find one that I really liked and at time of creating this, none of them offered automatic requipting previously equipted items. [h1]FEATURES[/h1] [list] [*] Automaticly recovers all items when respawning after death. [*] Automaticly requipt all gear you had previous equipted [*] Automaticly removes all bodies left behind after respawning to keep areas clean of repeate deaths. [*] Auto recover items after using a bed (we all know people were killing themself to use this as a teleport. no longer need to - however, it only recovers the items, doesn't auto-equipt items. limit of using the bed) [*] should work for Auto recovery of items for when you hit the invisable game ceiling that causes your player and items to disapear. (need people to test and confirm this) [*] Works with modded / Custom player pawns that some mods create . [*] clean and stackable. Something that just doesn't quite add up to everything else that's taken place. Something that just doesn't quite blend... It wouldn't take one to terribly long to come across just what it was that was making all those assorted sounds. Though the structure seemed empty.. as if it had simply been sitting here for some time without a caretaker. A steady pace around the elaborate, laid out home gave way to one trying to figure out just how it worked. How things continued to run and apparently un-assisted. Surely, a caretaker was needed for something so exquisite? Each dancing detail, the way the light shown from the solid metal surfaces. The vibration that danced through ones feet upon certain platforms and that ever going white cloud of steam that continued to puff along in the rather-near distance. Continuing ones pace around towards that steady puff of white, placing a hand against the ever turning machine that made such, listening. That steady humm of gears, the soft sounds of liquid dancing about within a chamber. The heat, that radiated off the constant motion. Unable to help but slowly peel one's gaze away to come across a rather large statue of a man. Just below his statue, the words sat inscribed "Dr. Rubeus Oswald." A doctor? Of what? Who was he and why was his name here? Questions upon more questions and less answers to be found. Upon arriving at what appeared to be a doorway, one could only step back and take a moment to admire the simplicity of it. At least, the seeming simplicity until one garnered a closer look! Crossing the threshold led one to believe they'd stepped into another world - If one thought they'd stumbled across something of mystery to behold upon the outside, the inside would only lead to more confusion. Customizable. v1.6 Fix for not placed Tombstone in Extinction Fix for wrong Slot Position of same item types after respawn This mod places a tombestone at the location where you died automatically. This tombestone has an inventory and can only be accessed and destroyed by the owner or tribe, but it does not have any collision. When you die, your inventory is transferred to the tombstones inventory. When you respawn you get your items back from the tombstones inventory. You can disable this feature (see below). As default the Tombstone stays in game forever, but can be destroyed by the owner or if the inventory is emptied (see ini settings below) In the case that the game is unable to spawn the tombstone, the death corpse will be accessible as in the standard game play. This mod is useful for all players who have difficulties to get there items back from the death corpse.
