JC-2 Goldfish 1.7
by 76561198067560920
James Cameron Exploration Craft Model 2: Goldfish 1.7 Prototype Class: Deep Diver (Note: I use the console command "wikiimage_sub" to get the white background image, it does not correctly show the sprite depth of every object; I have taken great care in the aesthetics of the ship where possible, please leave a comment if anything looks out of place) Features: - NEW Eyeball is now accessible as a viewport by a ladder located on the bridge. AI is capable of climbing into and repairing it. The hatch is wired to close 3 seconds after opening if vacant (note, atm, it does not close 3 seconds after becoming vacant) - 2 Coilguns on 1 Periscope with a toggle-button accessible next to the periscope and on the navigation terminal. - Red Alert! button on the navigation terminal that changes all the lamps from white to red, and turns on blue indicator lights next to every fire extinguisher. - 1 depth charge tube connected to two loaders, fire button on navigation terminal (one shot at a time). - 1 Semi-Automagic airlock/docking hatch on the TOP side. Automatically closes interior doors when the exterior door opens. - 1 docking hatch on BOTTOM side that can accept a drone or be used for standard shuttle docking; will NOT open unless the hatch is docked. - Most doors will automatically close after 3 seconds, this is toggle-able with the top command button (buttons located next to navigation terminal) and is indicated by the second command light (small lights above the navigation terminal keypad) - 1 automatic discharge coil, OFF by default and toggle-able with the middle command button, indicated by the first command light. - A light switch, the bottom command button. - Fully functioning AI waypoints, every hull and item is confirmed to be repairable by AI. - All electrical components are unlocked and able to be edited. - The 2 secure cabinets in the cargo hold are the only access restricted objects on the sub, which are restricted to security and captain ID cards. (the armory is not locked) This sub is still in the prototyping phase and will be receiving updates. The listed features are my intentions and some features, at times, may not function as intended or at all. Everything listed does work as of uploading, but I have not been able to do extensive, fringe, testing on certain parts. To Do/Known bugs: - AI get stuck in armory for an unknown reason (possibly fixed) - Lighting around eyeball looks a bit janky - double check that all electrical components are unlocked - tidy up wiring - combat balancing - re-do wiring to get an additional junction box for players to use

Geneva Suggestion Mk 2
by 76561198007453636
GENEVA SUGGESTION MK 2 SUBMARINE PROFILE Class: Deep Diver Dimensions: 49x11 m Recommended Crew Size: 6-10 Recommended Crew Experience: Experienced The Geneva Suggestion Mk 2 is a large submarine for combat and exploration missions on which heavy resistance from Europa's sea dwellers is expected. FEATURES - 1x railgun (dorsal), 3x coilgun (dorsal fore, ventral fore and aft) - 1x depth charge launch tube with two loaders, can be individually dropped - 1x electrical discharge coils (guards dorsal airlock) - 4x searchlights, all usable from a single periscope up in command - fabricator, medical fabricator, deconstructor - horizontal speed: 19 km/h; descent speed: 18 km/h; ascent speed: 19 km/h - maintenance mode for ballast tanks (can be drained and seperated from power grid to remove ballast flora) - reactor with various displays (power, load, fuel need, etc.) - reactor terminal that can control batteries and capacitors - enhanced flood control from engineering (ability to lock all duct blocks shut to isolate floods, open/close ALL button for doors) - smart duct blocks (will not allow water from below to rise to the room above) - crew quarters; captain's quarters - handbooks for the reactor terminal, buttons in command, and the buttons in engineering Automation-wise, the Geneva Suggestion Mk 2 is meant to be fun for crews who prefer a hands-on experience over having everything automated. All doors are manual, for example, so the crew can decide when it is better to leave something shut or when to leave something open. Overall, my intend with the Geneva Suggestion is to have a submarine that has many neat features, but also purposefully built-in drawbacks so it is not too easy but also not too hard to man it in Europa's waters. If you notice any issues with the submarine, such as spelling errors on labels or logic systems that do not work, feel free to leave a comment! This is my second submarine creation after all. Well, third if you count the modified Selkie shuttle. BACKSTORY The Geneva Suggestion Mk 2 is a special submarine. It is a Shellcracker-class attack submarine that has been remodeled for scouting purposes (creating the Geneva Suggestion Mk 1!), and then later it was retrofit back into a Shellcracker-class attack submarine, if with some unique modifications. Before the second retrofitting, Captain Shrimp desired a ship that had all combat features, but that would also be suitable for jobs that required exploring caves or ruins. One day, he saw that a Shellcracker-class submarine was towed into the dry dock of a large military outpost. The poor thing had been utterly wrecked by a thresher swarm; its belly had been torn open and most of the inside had been removed. This gave the captain an idea. He purchased the submarine for cheap, then had its insides altered and installed a shuttle bay. After many successful contracts handled with the help of the Geneva Suggestion, Captain Shrimp desired a ship that could dive even deeper into Europa’s waters, so he had the shuttle bay removed, the hole in the bottom sealed, more guns installed, and the hull hardened. To tickle a bit more power out of it, the reactor also received a revision, bringing its performance back up to the level before the first remodeling of the sub. Compared to the Geneva Suggestion (Mk 1) the Mk 2 has an extra coilgun, a lot more cargo space (replaced the canteen of the Shellcracker-class, because Shrimp’s crew only eats nutrient paste anyway!), and a lot more space for ammunition. Fixing the hull up proper also allowed it to withstand much more pressure, making the sub capable of reaching the abyss. CHANGES COMPARED TO THE MK 1 - no more shuttle bay - much larger cargo hold for those well-paying cargo missions - less discharge coils, more guns - railgun loader above command; makes loading it more difficult, but combat hence more challenging and satisfying - door and duct block controls removed from command; it should be the tech team's job to prevent flooding of the - smart duct blocks; no longer do people have to manually shut them off to prevent water rising into the sub from broken ballast tanks! - an ENTIRE extra ballast tank; descent and ascend capabilities much improved - less doubled hull; increases the challenge and likelyhood of monsters to get inside; double hulled subs are simply OP - monsters cannot get in that well! - farming and science area above medbay (the cooled storage actually works!) - improved reactor "FUEL!" warning thanks to the recent update; it now warns you BEFORE the rods run out, not AS they run out
UMT-179 'Ludmilla'
by 76561197973184966
Intended as a full campaign boat, the UMT-179 is a salvaged research ship lacking the electrical centralization and flood-hardened interior layout of a military vessel but retrofitted with safeties and significant turret upgrades from her original spec. Completed campaign sea trials 12/20/21, calling this 1.0 **FEATURES** - A mean little deep diver with some complications - Battery grid/silent running: in the case of reactor output failure while undocked, emergency lights activate, engines are dropped to 25% output, O2 gen switches to minimal operation, and only navigation essential and O2 systems remain powered through an independent junction grid. emergency junction box lights will flash until their respective batteries hit 15% - Departmental Storage: why do engineers and mechanics not get their own secure lockers in other ships? captain can get in to everything - Secondary fab/deconstructor - Suicide Stairway with flood mitigation technology: owing to her more peaceful origin, the Ludmilla's central accessway features multiple open stairways. Normally held open, the midline doors seal in event of flooding and may be manually operated. Top airlock will seal in event of extreme flooding and will remain so until waters have partially cleared. - Airlocks by kwogger, hacked apart by me (with their help) to support docking, manual flooding for artifact storage, and flood protection - Motion detector doors w/ safeties by Layarion - Should be Smart™ ducts - Inconvenient aft railgun position: as a bonus, both rails are capable of hulling the ship! - Easy access lighting controls for defaults and special lighting modes. plus the storage for defaults looks like the boat! - Magic Reactor Tech including shore power w/override, undervolting and all the rods you can stuff in it - way more items than I originally intended, many of them hidden components and wires - disco button my first boat; designed in equal part because the Remora is terrible and a comment a fellow sailor made about liking the stairway on The Holey Diver. I like to think that her obvious complications keep her somewhat in a vanilla boat's weight class despite being crammed with tech. feedback appreciated, I'd do a bunch of things differently if I was starting over, and I'm sure there are some obvious fixes that could be applied as is. apologies for the wiring mess if you get to this in the editor before I clean it up. **VARIATIONS** may build some of these if there's interest - UMT-179 Ludmilla: the Ocean Mann original. *currently available* - UMT-179c: civilian refit; fewer turrets, fore stair removed for dorsal lounge and midships garden - UMT-179m: military refit; less storage in a more hardened position, depth tubes & probably a discharge coil, proper junction room, probably no stairs - UMT-179s: shuttle carrier, probably slightly altered hull geometry for larger ballast, move a gun to the shuttle? - ERV-03: original research platform; significantly less armament, internal configuration changes - RFA edition: stripped of some of her tech, room for engineers to install controllers, door safeties, ect. Originally commissioned as an Endurance Research Vessel, the ERV-03 Taichi has endured several bouts of notoriety over many years despite having no service record to speak of. The product of a contentious design program for a new class of long mission, low sonar profile deep divers the Taichi was lost with all hands only days into routine sea trials in waters generally thought to be safe. Despite extensive Coalition search efforts fueled by a drive to recoup at least some of the ship's development costs, no trace of the vessel beyond rumor was found for nearly twenty years. Six years ago the Taichi's wreck was discovered and salvaged during early exploration of the Great Sea, thousands of km off her posted course. Though signs of alien attack were apparent, no ultimate cause for her sinking was found. Gaining neither the satisfaction of reclaiming initial investments nor solving the mystery of her sinking, the ERV-03 was believed by the Coalition to have been sold for scrap. Instead, the Taichi was quietly purchased from the scrapyard by a private citizen; an uneven man with a Russian accent inexplicable on Europa. The Taichi was rediscovered once again during a clown related murder investigation, sporting an array of upgrades that should not have been possible without Coalition oversight. Instead of her original scientific equipment, the small ship now carries a formidable hardpoint complement and significant automation. Saddled again with a ship they no longer wanted and which did not fit its original research mission nor that of a fully military vessel, she was reclassed with the uncommon designation of Unspecified Medium Tonnage. Now the UMT-179 'Ludmilla' (per O.M.'s last request) she has been flagged as available for special commission. --Navigator's Newsletter, December 17, 2082
[SF] Ashura RE
by 76561198291015836
Ashura - is a well armed deep-diver, which is actually another version of original Ashura. RE version got a renowated battle shuttle and a camera drone, to make the divers able to investigate narrow caves in a safe way. I've worked on Ashura's outlook, added one more exit in ballast as one which Goro has. Vessel has some batteries which are not responsible for charging boat, but they are being used for powering hull lights or charging drone. You can disable pumps in ballast, i suppose it may come in handy.
Baron Finch (Pirate)
by 76561198353146630
Essentially a glorified drone, the Finch is a shuttle model made by the Baron pirates. It has large batteries to make it fly through the water, but the small size makes it no match against a well-equipped crew. This vessel will spawn as pirate-controlled on pirate missions. It is intended to add variety to pirate missions. The guns work and will recharge. The batteries have been heavily upgraded to last for much longer periods of time. No mods required. Gaps, hulls, waypoints, and 3 spawnpoints added. To use this vessel for yourself, open it in the editor and save it as a regular submarine. "A Baron crew made a brazen attack on our outpost one day, and the autoguns ripped their shuttle apart. I went with a diving squadron to see what was left of it. It seems that they detach drones from ships they've stolen, attaching scrap metal and weapons. Their thirst for expansion is worrying, but shortsighted. These models are simply too small to withstand heavy sustained gunfire." -Alton Dorado, Engineer

ColorfulLights
by 76561198048093799
This Mod simply adds a "set color"-connector to most lamps, so you can change their color ingame via the "color component" like you allready can with the "light component". In addition it adds a "signal light" which is actually a color component that needs power to shine and therefor can be used not only as an indicator if something is switched on or off but also if something is actually powered.
Paradise Lost
by 76561198026553494
The super luxury cruise was built by a millionaire who "Just didnt understand why all the submarines are the worst". This monolith powerhouse cruises the sea with total impunity as long as the guns are manned. With hyper redundant backup systems, and auto skin protection, it takes a concerted effort of will to sink this world ship. The near limit of whats feasible to drive on barotruama, it provides just enough capacity to have a chance at winning the game on the hardest difficulty... role style
The Endurance
by 76561198804807305
The Endurance is a top-of-the-line Deep Diver class Europan Submarine, complete with four rapid fire coilguns and large armory makes this vessel a formidable foe for the Coalition, as most of these submarines are owned by the Sepratists. Made for role play and a more "pirate" approch to the game! Optimal angles for the guns means you can flood and destroy all the outposts you want! If there's any problems, just ask away I'll get around to helping eventually.
Hermit
by 76561197975125261

EN Talisman
by 76561198015875758
Europan shipyards have produced this mainstay submarine for all operations. Lightly armed, but with excellent diving performance this sub can take on most tasks presented to it. Comes lightly equipped in stock. Good for 3+ people, although you can manage easier missions with 2. Most systems can be toggled from the Command Room, although it is missing a few features on purpose to give other crew members some task variety and to promote teamwork/communication. Made with campaigns in mind, equipment you start out with should give you the tools to survive early on.
Tadeus [Mk. I] [Archive]
by 76561198009102397
*Tadeus has been released! Click here* U-69 "Tadeus“ “When in doubt, use a bigger gun.” Price: 20.000 Class: Attack Recommended Crew Size: 3 – 6 Recommended Crew Experience: Intermediate Description: U-69 "Tadeus” sports a wide array of weapons including three coilguns, one railgun, three electric discharge coils and one depth charge tube, leaving next to no blind spots on the outer hull. Propulsion-wise, two engines accelerate the sub to a top velocity of 34 km/h. Despite its medium size, large cargo space, both types of fabricators and the addition of a welding fuel generator ensure great utility even when embarking on longer campaigns. Also, pay a visit to the Lounge and enjoy the view! This mod contains two loadouts for both campaigns and missions, however only Tadeus - Campaign will be shown inside your Mods folder! Background: Shortly before contact to Earth mysteriously cut off, Nors-Frisian mercenary submariners accompanied the second wave of colonisation of Europa, eager to grant safe passage throughout the treacherous moon’s underbelly – for the right price, that is. However, they soon came to realize that renegade pirate crews were among the least of their concerns. As many an unfortunate captain found out the hard way, standard hull designs based around sub-to-sub combat proved woefully incapable against the vast varieties of hostile fauna. Rumours of even larger creatures haunting deeper waters only continued to add to the disillusionment setting in. Outclassed and outgunned, a small circle of veteran submariners still nourished hope and turned to the original U-Boat draftsmen of the famed Nors Sea Class which involved no use of force whatsoever. One schematic stood out, as Sub-Type U-69 fit the bill nicely: a sturdy hull, combined with large hydrodynamic fins and a powerful twin-engine setup, bridged the gap between endurance and manoeuvrability. An experimental railgun dubbed “Mächtiger Gustav” was also retrofitted to mete out punishment to any fish large or foolish enough to stay in front of the gunner’s scope. One year after construction commenced, prototype “Tadeus” left a well-hidden Europan sub-shipyard, ready to be field-tested against all odds. To-do: - occasional random overvoltage messing with the power input/load ratio causing deterioration - finalise text labels on terminal and in Reactor Room/Engineering (power, speed, etc.) Testing has just begun! Once enough sub improvements have been gathered and implemented, a new Mark Version will replace the current one. Found bugs or want to improve balancing / design aspects? Add your feedback in the comments below! Finally, props to Videogames for providing us with a variety of nice design ideas (and for Meaningful CPR, lul)! Black HammerheadMK.II
by 76561198194954210
A pretty compact submarine which is designed to annihilate any kind of hostile activity within waters of Europa. Ship is equipped with basic crew needs: Fabricator, Medical workbench, Deconstructor, Cargo compartment, Armory, Gunnery. You can also check out my new vessel called The Munin, the visuals are pretty edgy, i agree, but perhaps you'll like it's functionality and versatility: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2814535735

k-129 2
by 76561198092588541
Dugong Mk. 2
by 76561197987763435
Compared to larger vessels, the Dugong series is overshadowed in all aspects except one: their reliability for their price is world class. They're lacking in firepower and speed, so smart maneuvering is key. The Dugong Mk. 2 has been slightly modified with better storage capacity, bigger medical facility, and a crafting room was added to the front. 1.1 Added a pump at the front, updated AI path, and made the sub yellow.
Sovngarde
by 76561198007082331
Warning: This ship is very over-powered in comparison to the vanilla submarines. With this ship you become a fast-swimming fortress if you have the crew capacity. Sovngarde is a large submarine with a focus on conquest of the depths. This ship is designed for glory. Only the most valiant of explorers dare setting their foot on this vessel. With fearsome firepower and with a hangar containing support shuttles, the Sovngarde has what it takes to face the bohemoths from the depths. The three support shuttles are especially useful for bringing to caves during missions.
