Plan compact quarantine corridors around Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow without revealing unexplored terrain. Fish up the Containment Surveyor in an evil biome and equip it to mark real blocks in the six-tile-wide excavation guides with a recolored vanilla-style treasure glow. Cleared air is left unobscured, and map dots appear only over explored terrain. The Dryad's World Status report lists east/west boundaries and world-specific vanilla Depth Meter readings. Before Hardmode, current evil regions are measured from the real world state and one pair of straight vertical, 99.9%-confidence shafts bounds each possible left and right V arm. The planner intersects each depth-specific vanilla sweep with substantial connected terrain that can actually be converted, excluding empty space, floating islands, and small isolated pockets without blindly excluding the Underworld. After Hardmode, the server measures actual evil/Hallow clusters once conversion finishes; re-equip the Surveyor whenever you want a fresh scan after spread or purification. The first scan starts only when the Surveyor or Dryad report is actually used. Scans are cached, explicitly requested, batched by terrain run, and capped to a tiny per-tick time budget. There is no recurring full-world background scan.
