Because dropping an item from the inventory requires you to point somewhere and also run there before the item can be dropped, I implemented a keyboard shortcut which drops the active item (taken with the mouse pointer) immediately at the players position. Or if you currently do have a container opened (chest, etc.), it will put it automatically into the next free slot. This is configurable.
