Introducing the Universal Hat Skins mod (close-capped version)! Love the look of a skin, but never use that hat or helmet? Well, this is the solution to your woes! If you own an official Klei skin, this mod allows you to use that skin on a majority of head equipable items. Now your football helmet can look like the mourning veil, your moggles can be a top hat, and the eye helmet could be a pretty floral bonnet! Due to the nature of animations, we have omitted a handful of items from the mod: - Battle Helmet - Pinetree Pioneer Hat - Enlightened Crown - Brightshade Helm - Any open-capped hats, like the eyebrella and the garland But good news! a lot of these are going in a second version of this mod for open topped hats, so only the crown of enlightenment, Wigfrid's Battle Helm, and Walter's Pinetree Pioneer Hat will be left out in the end. (Sorry Wigfrid and Walter mains. Trust us, it's better this way; the animations break even if the item is constructed by the proper character the proper way). In worlds without caves , this mod is super streamlined, just construct the hat you want with the skin you want right out of the crafting tab. In worlds with caves enabled however the cleansweeper brush is necessary to to get the desired skin. And obviously in both types of servers, it is necessary to use the clean sweeper on non craftable items. Items like the bone helm and the hive queens helm are absolutely supported even if they don't have any official skins of their own yet. Please note that this mod only makes the skins swappable, not the original prefab of an item, so unfortunately no desert goggle football helmets. (yet! we're exploring the feasability). If you find it necessary to deactivate this mod, please be sure to destroy or restore any reskined items to standard apearances or it might crash your game.
