Adjust the day cycle length using a segment-based system that scales ALL timed mechanics proportionally. How it works: Each phase (day/dusk/night) is made of segments. Changing segment counts affects both that phase's length AND the entire cycle speed. Never have to travel the world to share ONE DUMB LITTLE ITEM. A new type of backpack will appear in the magic tab that lets you share items with others who have that backpack as well. Only one backpack can be open at a time so whoever needs something must ask the others to close the backpack. If everyone just normally keeps it closed this shouldn't be as annoying as it may seem. You're allowed to put the backpack into your inventory so you can wear a normal backpack without worrying about closing it.
